"That's YOUR Science Officer? Hey man, whatever floats your boat."

The one big laugh (as in, the only time I laughed) comes one hour in.

For what it's worth, that song is not in the actual movie.

    White VW convertible.

This webcomic sums up my feelings perfectly:

Is this the most epic-ever round of Stump the B-Lister or what? Talk about Total Recall (2).

The above lists are solid too. I feel that Broadway Danny Rose gets overlooked a lot, and it may be Allen's best performance. It's a rare example of him playing a distinct, precisely-observed character, much less reliant on one-liners than usual.

I like to think of Bananas, Sleeper, and Love and Death as a trilogy of political idealism trumped by emotional complications… or if you prefer, a trilogy of Allen's best shots at the Bob Hope 'heroic coward' persona. Watch Love first for historical order.

    Selections From the Allen Notebooks:

My brother and I rented this movie when we were kids, and the minute Hyser-as-a-guy drove up in that white convertible Mustang we looked at each other and said, "chick car."

Try "provides". Best not to mix past and present tenses.

    Two paragraphs? Come on.

    20s: Clara Bow.

That would be Conan the DESTROYER, please. On the R2 DVD, Sarah Douglas talks about how they'd all go out clubbing in Mexico City every night. As for co-star Olivia d'Abo, all of 15 years old at the time? "I'm sure she curled up with a good book…."

Anybody seen THE RAINMAKER? As I recall, she got some of her best notices for that.

There's only one reason to ask Madsen about CLASS, and precious few reasons to investigate anything else about the film. It's not like she had any scenes with Jacqueline Bisset.

Also, Virginia Madsen is a perfect female.

When she says "Oh, I forgot to tell you…", that's an intentional DUNE reference, right? I would expect no less from such a sensational lady.

CANDYMAN is essential. But I bet she's got some tales to tell about MODERN GIRLS.

Also, she may say she didn't learn comedy until later, but the scene where she massacres "The Star-Spangled Banner" is hilarious.
