Spriiiiing breeeeeeeak … ya'll.

This is pretty much the review I expected after seeing that awful trailer.

I was surprised by how willing Jarl was in going along with Ragnar's plan - his smirk and self-deprecation smelled of trickery even to me watching at home, and I don't even have a 3D television.

It would be glorious.

Don't you threaten us.

I love that C.K. has hit that level of success where he's big enough to suffer from backlash. That gets me right in the cockles of my fanboy heart.

And yes, I'm clearly talking about "Freakshow."

The writing on this show (particularly the Tyreese subplot) is annoyingly weak. When people here in Chicago claim that "TWD" is the one of the most addictive dramatic series on television, and I keep telling them, "You should try watching the OTHER two shows on AMC."

I love A.V. Club, but there isn't a character on the show that has yet to lift off the screen (or off the pages of the teleplay they came from). I like the parallels being set up between Rick and The Governor, something that the comic book didn't have much of. Both are (or were) husbands and fathers, with a pension for
killing anyone who threatened them or posed an inconvenience. They even
have young Asian men who they send off on errands, Rick with Glenn and

Thanks for the tidbit. I was wondering, as re-watching the scene, I didn't see any CGI layering.

Ugh… English majors.

Ugh… English majors.

As someone whose father forced him into marrying a doctor, I really appreciated the Maybelle subplot. Finally someone is telling MY story.
