Heh heh, this movie will have me "crankin' out those Marvel movies for the mouse," if you know what I mean. Wait, I don't think I did that right.

As a 13-year-old in 1995, I can attest that Species felt like a movie made entirely with 13-year-olds in mind: Sexy naked alien murders dudes while being sexy and naked. This seems a bit classier.
This comment of escalating nonsense is at Ralph Wiggum levels, well done.
That's sort of my point — he's a haunted zombie in season 4 until he starts working with Mike (for entirely manipulative reasons unknown to him, of course, I'm not forgetting that). The rewards become less financial and more personal — this is when he becomes a great cook in his own right, as the trip down south…
Ooh, excellent comparison.
"You don't come back from shooting an unarmed man in the face who meant
you no harm on his fucking doorstep. You will never be the same,
permanently thrown your lot in with the Mikes and Todds and Tucos of the
world, never to return to the place Andrea or Jane or even Badger and
Skinny Pete still occupy."
@avclub-749a8e6c231831ef7756db230b4359c8:disqus you said it better than I did. It tickles me that Todd of all fucking people is behaving this way, but it doesn't ring false at all.
@avclub-45278671ce2f00935406c9eda3f85d16:disqus yeah, I had a similar thought process. They are great at playing with your hopes on this show.
Lear also already has his kingdom and goes awry dispensing it (because he doesn't want to yet), a large part of Walter's story is, like MacBeth's, acquiring his kingdom in the first place.
It appears to be gone for me now too. Haven't had any Disqus problems.
This one was written in 2005 and at the end, several British army guys are talking about how their decision to bug the fuck out of Abyssina will be criticized at home by people appalled at the likely slaughter that will occur without their intervention, and how intervention would be criticized for stranding the…
Hey folks — has anyone else been getting some weird twitter widget thing trying to install it on their computer when you load a page here? Happened both at home and at work, rather annoying.
@avclub-79c971df9097228e547f2661f55b9847:disqus don't remember it at all, but now it's been a decade since I read the book.
Damnable Midwesterners! Us godless coastal liberals are interested in seeing this thing too!
@sarapen:disqus he refers to some of the events of the Underground Railroad book in this story, apparently it is even more insane than he lets on. Also, he's apparently contracted to ice John Brown after Harper's Ferry, which sounds like a great plot.
Joining in the Bible fascination — where did you see it? Where's it coming next?
That is officially the most badass name for a paper since the Abolitionist. Good luck.
Congratulations on your less-gross offspring!
"Vertiginous" is an excellent way of describing it. At one point the camera is slopping around in a pile of dead and dying fish, clearly moving as it's being stirred around and as the boat moves, which is to say with no rhythm. The guts are not as bothersome as the sudden slides. But I think I'm more susceptible to…
Yesterday was so nice I hung out on my porch and read and listened to music before walking around and not going near the TV until Breaking Bad. So I'm happily ignoring you right now.
