Hey @Scrawler2:disqus , you see the Giamatti Newswire yesterday?
On one hand I can see it, Giamatti is nothing if not schlubby. On the other hand, nothing about him screams "Floridian" to me, and one of the things I like about the books is that however much of a fuck-up Hoke can be he is completely at home in his skeezy Miami territory. But I am more than willing to see where this…
I heard mention of this once, any further details? Because I can sort of see Willeford going there.

I barely watched any of the show this season (various shit keeping me away from the TV early on Sundays) but I caught Boys 4 Now and loved it so much. Louise recognizing Tina's strength at the end of the episode was really sweet.
Walter and Perry were insane lovers with no use for other people, Andy and Ollie are far more naive — they don't reject other people/ideas, they just don't understand them, which makes them ripe for manipulation. I think they're distinct enough by this point.
That one is great but I prefer this later one: http://achewood.com/index.p… which introduced "crappy little bullshit man" to my lexicon.
SHUT UP CHECKERS OR I'LL FEED YOU TO THE CHINESE
@avclub-17c3613df50203d147fc87ccd0f1436d:disqus would you say you're a … LITTLE bit incensed?
If you squint a bit, that's an image from the most erotic Parks and Recreation episode yet.

"In the context of the film, a 12-year-old with a machine gun is a
fantasy; however, in the context of the real world, it is unfortunately
commonplace."
To your third opinion, the whole Journatic thing from a few years back is a darkly hilarious and also awful example of outsourcing something you would expect to be not outsourced, in this case "local" reporting: http://www.theatlanticwire…. People have been pulling this shit in various guises for a while now, the…
This comment is making its way to the internet via a Dell CPU that is at least six years old, so I share your contempt for treating computers as disposable, but I think a lot of people do see them that way, even more if you consider smartphones computers.
I don't think you're being quite fair to baseball, I'm wondering how many players in that intro would get tagged with "Made In The Dominican Republic." And that in turn would play into the idea of America importing things produced under less-than-ideal conditions (in this case, shady scouting and young leagues and…
That's not true at all! I hated Drive because it wasn't Thief.
The Weekend Update mug looks like he was making a face and suddenly tapped on the shoulder a la One Crazy Summer.
