Best Throwaway Line
Paraphrased from memory.

better than most
I thought this episode actually made some good progress for characters, if not story. I'm glad to see they're doing a bit more with Derek outside of the immediate Connor clan, and hope that Jesse makes for a good addition to the cast & story (seriously, though, it's Kendra Shaw!). The therapy angle

Throwaway Lines
This episode had a ton of great throwaway one-liners, and some truly funny moments. While overall people are saying it's not as strong as previous episodes, I really enjoyed it. I mean… Mad Dog? How great was that?

Triumphant(?) Return
I'm friends with Joe D, the portly dude from the first season, and can thus gladly say that I look forward to another season of this golf cart accident.

Murdering
Charlie's constant confusion between the concepts of "haunting" and "murdering" was pretty awesome.

it's not too late
They should just change the show's name to Fridge and replace Anna Torv with Refrigerator Perry. Nothing else changes.

So… there's like a secret, embedded track in the closed captioning?

It definitely tries to add depth to even the smallest characters, at least giving you a glimpse into who they are as a person rather than a prop to continue the plot. I'm hopeful that as the show progresses, they'll take the long view on characters like the Wire did and fatten out the supporting cast.

Slow build progress
I'm happy to see that Jax got a little bit rattled in this episode, and it looks like next episode has him playing up against Clay a bit more, too. This is promising.

I don't know how I got roped into watching this show…
…but my roommates are addicted, and I am slowly but surely following them down that dark path.

I think Shane is just wary of Ronnie's 4 handicap. The man can golf.

Yes, Karatloz, that actually happened.

Was anyone else hoping…
…that when Henry opened the laptop, Edward would say, "This is the plan. Get your ass to Mars and go to the Hilton Hotel. Show the fake Brubaker ID at the front desk."

Worries Assuaged
I was initially worried that this season woudl let me down, but thus far it's held up, which is a relief. I do think Deb's storyline is heavily tacked-on (as is this new detective guy — wtf?), but everything to do with Dexter is at least intriguing, and at best fantastic television.

best show ever
Sorry, I couldn't resist the hyperbole.

why do you hurt me, heroes?
I really want to like this show — to love it, even — because the idea of superheroes on TV portrayed in a realistic fashion really appeals to me. And yet, the writers continually fail to write, and the actors cannot convince me that I am not watching a bad TV show. It makes me sad inside.

Impressions
I was somewhat annoyed with some of the cheesier aspects of this episode (Chuck can't function with Sarah and Bryce dancing in the room, despite being prepared for it? Seriously?), as I like to think Chuck and Sarah could compartmentalize a bit better than that.

they can't all be winners
This episode wasn't bad, but it's not nearly as good as some of this season's best. This season is ridiculously hit-and-miss.

Journals
I think Jax's father's journal was more interesting in this episode than in previous episodes, where it was more forgettable — the lines about his self-discovery and personal honesty coming when he's at his weariness were actually poignant and said something about who the man was.
