"well I don't know why I came here tonight"
Simpsons is pretty shameless with it's rip offs lately, Moe striking oil that was actually feces from a broken sewer line was from Beavis & Butthead, and Bart's muslim friend who Homer thought had terrorist parents was an obvious clone of Butter's muslim friend who Cartman thought had terrorist parents.
I lean left, but I usually don't like it when shows get too blatantly liberal, it's part of the reason I hate Newsroom. I think more shows should go the route of South Park and Boondocks where they poke fun at the flaws present in both sides like a proper satire. It just feels so scripted when a protagonist has one…
"shows about awful men and apocalypses" I died
C+ is pretty harsh, considering the episode explored Bubblegum sending a living creature to it's certain death, while it was justifiable it was still a little disturbing, might have had more impact had she sacrificed a candy kingdom regular though.
I agree, television writers shouldn't be afraid to have more minority villains, Gus Fring and Arnold Rothstien were such well written antagonists, it adds depth as long as they aren't doing Fu Manchu stuff where they're demonized for their ethnicity rather than their character.
There are parts of being a black guy I could do without, but I don't hate being a black guy that would mean I hated myself. Part of the reason I loved Luther so much was that Neil Cross wrote an intriguing black protagonist, and none of the characters said a goddamn thing about it, and they didn't need to he was just…
Brett makes Kenny look like a vampire.
Well, Bob's Burgers does have a song that goes "Lets rise up and kill the rich".
Mine too, as for family guy the cut aways can still be pretty funny but the writers are clearly getting cocky.
I love you
Amazing series, even better than I expected, but I gotta say the only thing that's bugged me so far is how instantly they forgave Steven for forgetting the moon goddess idol, I mean they couldn't have been too mad considering they could have double checked, but still hundreds of years of history down the toilet. You'd…
Good article, but Rebecca Sugar specifically stated that Garnet was the leader.
What concerns me is that Peter Browngardt doesn't have such a great track record and Cartoon Network still trusts him, makes me think he has a connection, after all the new execs aren't exactly forgiving of blunders, hell Young Justice and Sym-Bionic Titan were axed over marketing disputes.
I liked how eventful this episode was, as much as I love Adventure Time I feel like there are episodes where the writers just get lazy and are contempt to just have Finn Jake & BMO bum around inside the tree house, but this one was really funny and well thought out. I used to not like the Banana Man, the first episode…
that was a cringer
I didn't think it was too soon, they weren't mocking what happened, just what dicks some people were being about it, I bet Cartman's nightmare wasn't that far off from what the average paranoid midwesterner was thinking, glad Token didn't die that would have been too macabre.
I'm convinced the title was an Old Gregg reference.
Oh yeah, and the cat from Coraline.
I'm not so sure, I recall seeing pictures of her with what looked like a grandmother.
