There's an episode of SAC where Batou is the focal point, and it's the high point of the animated incarnation of Ghost in the Shell. Nothing can beat the manga, though… an animated version with the kind of detail and mind-warping plot that's in the print version would have to have a ridiculous amount of production put…

Maybe the showing was good…
… but the telling was FUCKING AWFUL. You're not screwing around when you say the characters are retreads from every modern drama, but you missed commenting that their dialogue was equally stilted. If the show is like this pilot, then the writers have made the classic mistake of focusing too…
