I got you a puppy. But then, on the way home, I got hungry and I ate it. I'm just kidding! I would never buy you a dog.

I was going to comment about both City of Lost Children and Last Supper. I'm super surprised COLC wasn't mentioned at all, given the AV Club's affinity for euro art films. He was great in the movie. Last Supper is also a great performance, obscure film. Seemed like it would be right up the AV Club's alley.
Has anyone actually had this? You always hear derisive news stories about DERP DERP RICH PEOPLE DRINK POOP COFFEE but if it's really good coffee, hand me the shit cup. Also, interesting he opted to make espresso and then dilute it with a ton of milk. Might you have been able to better taste the shit flavors if he had…
"Plus whatever else comes out in poop."
I'm pretty sure the suggestion to the Avon guy was to send reps to offices, not baskets. Also, pretty sure that Ginsber's character was always painted as an odd duck and they just missed the middle "ramping up to crazy" plot line and decided he should go full retard now. So it seems out of the blue, but I kind of…
Test markets positive thinking?
Oh. My. God.
Jimmy Buffett's books are insanely terrible. I remember one of them had a set of characters named Aurora and Boring Alice. I punched the book.
Great fun.
Clinton did go into advertisement. He just was marketing only one product. He won.
I really think everyone is taking Don telling Joan not to fuck the fat Jaguar the wrong way. Maybe on the surface he could claim that it was about saving Joan from hookering herself - perhaps he even told himself that. But deep down it was about him wanting to win the account based on his work, to be the best. Just…
"Think back to that trip to California the two characters took in season two: Don wandered off with a bunch of young romantic types, while Pete stayed and diligently works." I want you to go over that sentence again and think about what you might have doing differently.
So this is a collections of works that I could find for free with some diligent interneting? I like Sedaris, but most of his writing now follows a very noticeable dynamic. I would like to see him not wrap up every single essay with an unexpectedly moving, irreverently comic neat little bow.
It would be an easy adaptation. The actual story only takes up about 1/3 of the book.
Props to the show for not having Pete be a one-dimensional asshat. He's got some redeeming features.
22 year olds who think they've found the one are amusing.
There's an AVClub article waiting to happen. "Pop Culture Break Ups", subtitled "She Made Fun of Dune".
Hodor?
No In Bruges? THE BLACKS.
"Well, that guy can suck a spiky one."
