I hate this show. And I really wanted to like it. It's just so damn on the nose about New Orleans - make it a little less like giving every aspect of new orleans a big hug and an insider's "only people from NOLA can REALLY KNOW" wink, and maybe I would have liked it. Oh and also some story lines.

Is this show becoming formulaic? Leslie has a problem - usually one that affects her self confidence. Ron peps her up, her friends rally behind her. Triumph. Everyone applauds.

Seconded - he's basically a fascist in terms of his personal politics, and he's probably pretty racist, but he's generally not a bad person to those who are, you know, exactly like him.
