That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore

It was dark when I drove the point home
And on cold leather seats
Well it suddenly struck me
I might just die with a smile on my
Face after all

Kick them when they fall down
Kick them when they fall down

When you laugh about people who feel so very lonely, their only desire is to die
Well, I'm afraid
It doesn't make me smile
I wish I could laugh

But that joke isn't funny anymore
It's too close to home and it's too near the bone
It's too close to home and it's too near the bone
More than you'll ever know…

Please, Please,Please
Let me, Let me, Let me
Get what I want
This time

Donald is an atrocious human being with almost nothing redeeming about him. He makes me want to vomit.

Stephen77:
And if a creepy fan, tries to hold your hand
To die by your hand is such a heavenly way to die
And if you shoot your fan, and leave him a dead man
To die by your hand, well the pleasure, the privilege is mine.

Curb is an excellent expose of the narcissism and nihilism of the elite Los Angelinos crowd, in the same way Seinfeld was for New York.

I second this. Twin Peaks was the best thing David Lynch ever did because it merged his style with the populist soap opera form. It was a life changing pop event.

What was the dark place?

tossin: Well, the Simpsons and Twin Peaks and maybe Jersey Shore are on the same level as those movies. Besides that there are no TV shows better than those movies.

I hope all the characters die, and the rest of the series is nothing but hundreds of farts repeated over and over, thereby fufilling Matt Weiner's promise of not ending with "a fart".

Even I liked Sideways! You're now officially more contrarian than me.

You must not have seen War Horse and The Adventures of Tintin. Anyone who saw those cannot say TV is beyond film. Well, they could, but then they would be stupid.

We are in the age of TV. TV, the supreme rapist, the soul killer, the mind number, the heart stealer. Rest in Peace Art.

It's fairly motherfucking obvious War Horse should have won Best Cinematography. The Tree of Life relied on pretty, but innexpressive light, and Hugo looked like a pile of garbage. Sometimes I swear to God everyone but me is blind.

I've been saying this for months now! Hipsters always wait to steal things until after they're relevant…

There's something very sexy about Santorum. Partially it's all the fond memories his name conjurs, but also because of his physique and moral principle. Santorum is the most honest, and morally upright candidate in the race. He's also fiscally liberal for a Republican which appeals to the Marxist in me.
