Saw "Mr. Holmes" at the newly rehabbed Greenbelt Theater in Greenbelt MD. The theater opened around 1937 - they did a great job of restoring it. Otherwise, preparing myself mentally and physically for the World Boardgames Championship, being held (for the last time) in Lancaster PA. Walkups allowed if you are in

Mrs. RealName picked up the Regrettable Superheros book - that is a fun read.

I spent the weekend contemplating Firesign Theatre and why the AV Club didn't bother to acknowledge the death of Phil Austin, who died last month.

Beware! The phrase "Juggalos infomercial" actually appears in the Book of Revelations.

And where are the Black Panthers now?

I would be upset, too, If I had to leave my beloved two.

Please…Elderly Man Freberg.
You're welcome.

Well, don't let it happen again.

I always thought "Voyage To The Bottom of the Sea" was underwater Star Trek…

I don't know…it's been so long I've forgotten a lot of the plot and half the characters. Nice homage to The Godfather with all the Hydra assassinations, though.

One of the joys watching this in the Baltimore/DC area…there is a real lawyer doing his own commercial, railing against the insurance companies. "Don't urinate on my leg and call it rain!" The best part is the end, with the announce urging prospective clients to call, including "the urinated on."

Yeah - I didn't recognize Kristen Schaal's name in the reviews before the show, then when I saw who it was, I thought, yeah, the perfect person for the role.

You broke the first rule of AV Club: Don't make me cry at work.

Yeah…had no idea how often I was listening to that guy who kept holding his ear on 'Laugh-In'. Also he did a routine about the incredible similarities between Lincoln and Nixon that I love.

Wow…can you still eat Wonton soup?

Well, to be fair, George W. Bush gave him a lot more material to work with.

No…everyone Wang-Chung tonight.

Sorry I'm late - here is that 'k' you ordered.

As someone who started commenting just to complain about the AV Club ignoring the death of Peter Bergman, you have my sympathies…

An amazing movie that lasts around an hour too long.
