I saw Ex Machina on the big screen and thought it was terrific, aside from the last ten minutes.
Everything that happens after we realise that Caleb is trapped is obvious. They could easily have ended the film at this point and let the audience intuit the rest.
Last night I had a dream that I was in Master of None and Dev/Aziz Ansari was my pal. I was a struggling musician, and I knew I had to do a concert but I figured I'd just have to wing it with the sheet music, because I hadn't practiced, didn't know what kind of instrument I played, and in fact wasn't quite sure how I

All of those examples prove my point exactly. Malcolm in the Middle is about a pretty comfortable lower middle class family. The Two Broke Girls wouldn't even be able to live in New York City, let alone open a business there. Raising Hope or perhaps My Name is Earl comes closer, but they're both too cartoonish to bear

I'm thinking Julie Christie for Mrs Hubbard.

Does this mean he really could sanction editing the whole thing into one coherent film?

Is this what the kids mistake for a classic cult movie these days? Yeesh.

But is there any particular reason? Call me fussy, but there are things I really think deserve an A+!

'Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell' is an exception though - it somehow broke the space-time continuum and got an A+ in the post A+ era.

I would far prefer some more That's What They Called Music, or in fact anything, to replace Hatesongs (which seems to have dwindled off in any case). Sure, we all like a good snarkfest, but that's all it was, and it frequently came off as kind of mean-spirited.

Yep, I've had that same problem since NuDisqus was introduced. In order to log in, I need to physically change the https:// in the address to http:// and ignore my computer freaking out about it.

How do you figure out what shows current readers might be interested in, though?

To add to that - it's great that Community Grades came back, but why do ratings only go up to A and not A+ ? There have been a couple of times when some bug in the system allowed an A+ to sneak through (Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell for example), so presumably it's possible but has been deliberately turned off for

Anyone here catch Conan last night? Wow, did J-Law phone it in.

Every time somebody flies that idea up the flagpole, it's explained to us that Disqus is awful and nobody likes it, but it's the cheapest option.

He must think we are, otherwise he wouldn't have posted that picture of the citizens of Springfield rioting.

"Hey now, you're a wizard, get your game on, go play …"

"Rock and roller cola wars, I can't take it any more!"

I don't smoke, don't do drugs, and have been clean and sober for going on six years. Cola is literally my only vice. I think it has to do with the fact that I was never allowed to drink it as a kid.

The worst thing is that I did that job ten years ago, before most people started getting their news exclusively off the internet (in fact, I think we'd only just branched out into monitoring blogs and internet-exclusive news sites). The problem is probably many times worse today.
