A lot of folks above are talking about how poorly this show represents its gay contestants, but try telling that to your friends if you're a straight dude talkin bout SYTYCD, you know?  It's hard to be a straight dude talkin bout SYTYCD sometimes.

Well you're in luck, because now the Internet exists and nobody pays for music anyway.

It's okay, guys, Bill and Jessica were home-schooled together.

Yes, that's what I was trying to say.

I also think Penner was like Cochran in that he started the tradition of Probst calling his favorite players by last-name-only.

I believe Claire also missed seeing Jeff Tweedy this week in order to cover this show that I mostly fast-forward through after watching Survivor.  These writeups, and the wife's refusal to give up on Idol, are pretty much the only things that keep me watching.  Hats off.

Weird thing is, their prime never really ended.  Can't think of one longer tenured rap group, much less one that put out such consistently good material.

I saw the Edge meet Jack White in that movie and it wasn't really that cool.

I think you're on to something.  There's a chance the country crowd balked at her war protest song, and even if Skylar didn't really get the lyrics, she still got Dixie Chicked.

All of the above is true, and yet every week I'm surprised anew by all the boobs that seem to materialize out of nowhere.

Very true.  This is borne out when you just look at the cover photo for this episode above - it's like that challenge was designed for "Hey look at these boobs!"

I kept thinking of Frank and Charlie and how they play "nightcrawlers." And not just because of the creepy relationship, but also because Kat is illiterate.

Both of Phillip's video backdrops were unbelievably bad - the falling letters looked like they were lifted from a Windows '95 screensaver (anyone else think flying toasters?), and also, spinning tie die patterns.

Dr. Mike, thanks for the info on that.  I'll throw my fiance's copy of Still Dangerous (there's a reason I'm marrying her) on tonight and listen for the differences/similarities.

And Emerald.  I read somewhere that they overdubbed the bejesus out of Live and Dangerous but if anything, listening to Live and Dangerous is an argument in favor of overdubbing.  That whole album rules.

SHUT UP DAD
