I mostly agree, but I have to admit that the woman who didn't say a word for the entire season suddenly breaking into song with this angelic voice fell flat for me. Seems like that kind of crap would get pulled on a much lesser show than this.
It took me several episodes (and, in truth, an IMDB lookup) before I realized that the actor who plays Healy also played Steve the racist on Deadwood.
