Noone should criticize CC - they gave us daily show, Colbert, a lot of good stand up (yes, a lot of poor ones as well), Demtri Martin and a lot of other stuff incl JBHVwas/is watchable, and the occasional absolute genius of crossballs was only cancelled for legal reasons, I believe.

Sorry, guess you are right eyeroll, but I guess I just find the photo rather silly (some comics have problems expanding on the succesful characters that made them famous, or coming up with new ones) and not too promising, and the 1st Ali G. movie was undoubtedly bad … but if SBC is to again couple subtle observation…

I grew up in Germany but now know US comedy better than contemporary German comedy. I don't buy the language theory … there are and were really funny comedians of various flavours in Germany, but I side with Tom that the 3rd Reich and joyless postwar decades decimated comedians and largely destroyed comedy cultures.
