Point 3 is way above my movie literacy, but re NR, I don't understand why anyone would find making Lebowski "perverse" after a somewhat dark and gory comedy making fun of Minnesota/the midwest.

The flintstone movie wasn't terrible (or even double terrible), just decent quality gag intense mainstream comedy. Probably comedic gold compared to "just go with it" when I read the reviews. Although that doesn't say much.

Yes, "experimental shit", that's a good description … I remember 1 or 2 tracks from absolutely great "the lamb lies down" from Genesis that seem to be filler experiment of a double album (I believe they are "silent sorrow" and "the waiting room"), and wasn't there recently some sound collage by David Bowie in the AVC…
