Do you want actor humiliation? REAL actor humiliation?
I think Whopi Goldberg with that T Rex detective is the most blatant example … did anyone see that one? I really liked the stupidity of the poster.

I thought the underlying ideas were original, and the whole thing a fun ride, a film far superior to "Dancing with Avatars". Extremely funny and original in the beginning, more conventional towards the end (there are a couple of movies like that). And I would object: the aliens in the beginning were stupide,

I just wanted to remind you that a lecture from Noam Chomsky ended up being a mix of stand up comedy and country music. Did I ask for my money back?

Or maybe not. I don't know what to think about the guy. Like some of his stand up and a few movies, but the inferior European rip offs ( Roxanne, Clouseau) suck, and I frankly don't understand the cult about "the jerk" - that movie is OK at best.

Now that is going too far, sir.

Apparently, it was billed as "lecture and conversation". But I still think that names matter as well. How about: HULK HOGAN: conversation about Anton Webern and 20th century Viennese music. http://www.salon.com/entert…

I dunno, I am not that certain, depends on how it was advertised. If it was advertised as "Steve Martin about art and his latest book", OK. If it was just "interview with SM", I can understand people getting upset. SM is primarily known for lowbrow comedy, and he would not get too much exposure for being an art

rationalist, that was a nice clip, thanks. I always thought that Carr deserved more than this one show that I knew him from (on comedy central).

I was wondering that (why is he coming back?) as well, but I figured that it's actually the same scene, just interrupted by flashbacks … and that is also what the reviewer thinks.

Boooh. What a shitty comment. No, I don't want a pitchfork up in my ass.

Any catholic theologists online?
Last night, we witnessed the birth and immediate killing of a zombie. Which of course makes me wonder about the vatican's position. Are zombies also part of the crown of god's creation, and their lifes ought to be protected?

Please disperse. Please disperse.

Nothing will trump …
… the version with the young Peter North.

Re, the quote - good one, but I lilke
"Then one morning, I woke up and said, Fuck fish" even better.

Claudia, I would be only concerned about something like this:

Agree. This was very funny, but also nightmarish.

Dr. Wally, I like your 'I want realism out of my zombie fiction" and I support this message.

I like MT outspokenness and agree that progressives are bad in standing up for their message and activists.

No more pull-ups
I will happily invest into (yet another) Emmerich apocalypse if there is a similar joke (?!) like that one at the very end of 2012.

That's actually a funny idea, if the discovery channel would air an episode of what's obviously a made up story. I love it when people call in to NPR, starting off reasonable, and then it drifts into the wildest conspiracy theories/psychoses.
