You think you know snake but you don't. Almost every year, I go to a cabin with a cold spring water shower, and yes, afterwards, I do enjoy warm showers, but the area isn't plagued by zombie violence. But laughing, comfort zone avoider, why don't you share your best personal "I shouldn't be alive" anecdote?

simple pleasures of life
Don't want to sound like a hardass, but aren't HOT showers somewhat overrated in the face of widespread zombie violence?

dgl, I think you are confusing content and style.
1st, to say that Bush committed war crimes is not a rant, but a debatable statement (that you and many Americans may disagree with).
2nd, good form alone does not make reasonable discourse. It is possible to state the most idiotic and/or inflammatory things veiled in

Wow, I didn't know that, but wikipedia mentions the sacrifice of an eye for wisdom. But that definitely was the age prior to antipsychotics.

Agreed. But OTOH, someone who rips out her own eyeball might benefit from antipsychotics.

Orange crush, I also thought that BB is a nice atmospheric study of certain locations and petit bourgeoisie - the huts on the beach, low middle class Paris, then the small town down south … I found the whole thing (on rewatching) entertaining and well acted, but what bothered me most was (I think it's in the

I do like Casino, Aviator and Departed very much, but after seeing Boardwalk Empire, I wonder: is anyone here sharing my boredom of seeing psychopaths beating others to pulp?

OK. But Plunkett, I hope you are not a sock puppet. Because there are some similarities to how you and Freiwald are writin'. Just sayin'. Sleep tight.

Let me get this straight: you, very likely writing from Germany (name, time stamp, familiarity with german pop culture), take offense at my avatar because it depicts Harry W because he is a trash icon from the 90s Germany? And you feel compelled to defend the AV clubs comment boards (from what?) in reply to a posting

I have to say that you are not a nice person if the (I would expect rather unexpected) sight of Harry does not warm your heart - a special treat for connaisseurs of overseas culture. I grew up in Germany and Harry is part of mostly fond memories. I do know Raab a little (he had a TV show when I left in the late

What is the "orange line"? And why are you sad?

If you want to attract people to your - certainly excellent - website, kindly provide a link. But I did enjoy your expert use of the apostrophe.

One of my favourites
One cannot overemphasize how much fun this movie is, the right attitude/midset provided.

Too much sarcasm in your post. makes my head hurt and my eyes rain!

Suggestion
It's good quality, I appreciate Buscemi, but there is nothing really new … can't they focus on other eras/subcultures?

If it hasn't been said yet …
… it needs to be said about SBC the singer:
EVERYBODY DANCE …. NOW

How I love this movie. I would say it's an action version of "the room", made for geriatric audiences of the 90s. That's of course an exaggeration, as nothing can match the ineptitude of "the room", but I stand behind the larger point.

I am waiting …
… for the 1st 007 movie as a pseudodocumentary. Or a Jane Austen story.

Nigga, I think Shal has a point. Also, the AV club grades suggest some kind of objectivity … not all critics give grades or award stars.

I suggest to throw a 3rd player into the mix: Ben Kingsley like he was in sexy beast, threatening and cursing at everyone in a really mean way. I would at least netflix that.
