The first FF movie was entertaining if not good. The second one was just awful—boring, predictable, poorly done. I got the DVD free in some gift bag and gave it away promptly after watching it. Some poor sucker at the Salvation Army store was probably pyched until he got home and put it in the DVD player.

"just because you CAN doesn't mean you fucking SHOULD"

No, phel. They love God. God will protect them from the diseases he visits upon unclean animals and heathens.

Fire and Ice is not a good movie. I used to have it on videotape in college, and while we watched it a few times, it didn't get played nearly as often as Top Fights of Kung Fu and Rock 'n' Roll Meltdown.

What if the House is the Last House on the Left and the inhabitants are going to kill you? Anti-suicide but pro-homicide?

Hey, I haven't hooked up my Xbox since I moved to a new apartment, but you guys just reminded me that Oddworld is pretty fun. Bastards! Now I'm going to have to stay up way later than I should and be dragging at work for the rest of the week.

I don't really have a problem with Billy Joel; his song writing is up and down, but he's got some very catchy pop songs, he plays piano very well, and he's pretty good in concert.

TomWaits, on that principle, see Warren Zevon's Keep Me In Your Heart.

Fucking hell, the lawyers got to you guys, too? Is nowhere safe?

Just wait. Soon they'll start putting those into the DVDs of your favorite TV shows. Then you won't be able to watch anything at all.

I never thought the day would come when we were grateful for Ace of Base, but I guess today is that day. Somehow, I don't mind as much as I thought I might.

Fritzy, I've got over 350 as well, with another 100+ on my view instantly list (not a lot of overlap btw the two lists). Of course, a good chunk of that 350 is the entire run of Naruto; one of these days I'll just move all of those to the top and go on a couple week spree. But I still keep adding stuff.

Hmm. I don't think we can blame Utah the place. Utah is beautiful and has fucking awesome skiing and hiking and climbing and mountain biking. So it must be something else. Maybe the population?

Best South Park episode ever? Or was that the Scientology one? Discuss.

Damn you AV Club
My Netflix queue keeps growing faster than I can get through it. Now I have to add this and Mauvais Sang.

Yeah, but only "kind of", right, Sensei?

Because criminal defense lawyers aren't a tax-deductible corporate expense so he has to pay them out of pocket.

I haven't seen this since it was in the theatre and have been waiting for it to come out. It's been in my Netflix "Save" queue and just moved into my real queue. Unfortunately, the bastards tell me there's a "Long wait" for the DVD.

That's your prerogative, bascule. I won't argue with you about it, but I will keep listening to Achtung Baby. And I'll agree that Bono is a pretentious twat.

They're just pretending to be asleep. When that kid finally falls asleep or wanders off, they're going to run away. Fucking brat never stops whining.
