I noticed that the girls smashed all the windows out of their car while being flung about during the accident, and then somehow managed to repair them before EMS got there. That was a neat trick.

Nth Commandment: It don't matta, jus' don't bite it.

I think you have to give U2 credit through 1991. Achtung Baby is a kick ass album. There's a lot of downhill after that.

Yeah, no way he gets points for Contact. But maybe double points for Reign of Fire. I'm with you, hot dogs, RoF is awesome.

And you're only ashamed of that after seeing that Busey has the same one, Slowdive?

I'm with you Karatloz. I have the whole 12 issue SS mini series in plastic bags in my parents' attic. Sometimes when I visit them, I read my old comics, and that's one that I gravitate towards. Some cool stuff in there, like Archer b-modding Lady Lark and the internal divisions. I haven't seen the new version, but

I heard some Japanese dud ripped off that movie a while back.

santos: I think that's pronounced "San Diego"

JVS: Yeah, me too. As a runner, I'm obligated to put Pre in the pantheon, and I think Leto did a good job in that movie.

See, what's funny about that, Asa, is that she will do pretty much anything you tell her.

JVS, depends on which one.

This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)*

Wood Eye, I got a lot of mileage out of my sandwich maker a/k/a the Snackmaster (tm) in college, and the breadmaker saw some use in my first house in Boulder. Neither survived the multiple moves since then. The thrift store and a move will make short work of unused kitchen appliances.

Yo, Quirk, corned beef hash is my hangover breakfast too, but I take the eggs poached. They're runnier and I think they mix up into the hash better than fried.

Mr. Dump, you are providing evidence to support TomWaits's statement above.

Michael Mann also did Heat, which is totally fucking awesome. But that scene in Public Enemies where they have a firefight at the motel looked like something a first year film student made with a borrowed camcorder. It was just crap. More like Public Enemas, amirite?

That whole album of Knopfler/Emmylou duets is great. Knopfler's guitar and her voice are a great pairing. And they have great back and forth in a lot of the songs.

Yeah, I Love You is a good track. All in all, Shine is a pretty good album. It's not fantastic, and I only listen to it rarely, but I enjoy it whenever I do put it on.

On Emmylou and duets: A few years ago I went to the bluegrass festival in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco and saw Emmylou and Willy Nelson. For free. On a beautiful day. With some friends and a cooler full of beer. That was a great concert and a great day.

Wrecking Ball is gorgeous. I have it on my iPod and just pressed play. Her voice is ethereal and robust at the same time; I can never figure out how she does that. I'm pretty sure her version of every song on this album is better than the original.
