Man I TOTALLY hated the audience of the arena. Seeing most of them fall to the flames during LIBERTUS was one of the most cathartic experiences ever while watching this show.

Haha that was fucking epic!

Glad to hear.

OH, actually I was just following @avclub-a6a946fbaecb91e1673d370aa16d3043:disqus  with the two L's spelling but now I googled it and it has only one L. Let's blame him for all our spellings mistakes, lol.

I can't argue with your points about GoTA since you seem to remember it better tthan me, but I remember that watching it I thought "well, no wonder Solonious betrayed you Batiatus…" I do agree that the season could've done with more episodes however I was surprise with what they were able to accomplish with just six.

Sorry about your headache :(

One of my biggest surprises when I rewatched the first season was realizing exactly that: Illythia started it all!! I hated Illythia so much during the first season and then after WHORE when Lucretia started humilliating her I found myself not enjoying it as much, I figured it's because it was no fun since during that

I totally hated that guy and I was so happy about Batiatus' vengeance on him however instead of thinking about it in terms of "worst villains" which he might as well be, I prefer to think of it as in "best villains" as in villains I like :)

Oh, man when you put it in words like that she is definitely THE WORST. I will elaborate more on your Illithya comment…

Lucretia's transformation during GOTA was one of my favorite (among many) things from that season. God they treated Lucy Lawless like a Goddess in this show.

Ooooh how I hated Illythia during Party Favors.

You gotta love Batiatus' revenge on the magistrate later on though.

Yeah, that must've been pretty tough for Aurelia.

Ah yeah, the people that worked on Buffy tend to be very close, although some better fans than me would give you better examples haha. I will need to search for the guy who scored Spartacus to see if he did anything Buffy related. Man that soundtrack of Spartacus became (another) one of my favorite things about the

The way you put it makes me think I will appreciate them even more once I get to rewatch the season.

Again I am not obssessed with Community like some of its fans although there is something about that show that makes me like the episodes more on second viewing, even though I don't analyze the show much I have to agree that there is something off with the 4rth season, like for example how they subtly built up Troy

I agree about how it's weird that the Walking Dead isn't so exciting more often given the nature of the show and where it's set. When I learn the 3rd season would be 16 episodes I thought that was the worst mistake ever because I thought they had to drag a lot to handle 13 episodes of season 2 so who the hell thought

Yes, he is Joss Whedon's brother. I am a big fan of Joss with Buffy being my first love for a tv series and my favorite of all. By the time I watched Gods of The Arena I was still reeling over haven't just watched Dollhouse, which ironically is another show that a lot of people dismissed due to its pilot (well, ok

Yes, when Lucretia did that I believe is when I started caring about Naevia and Crixus as characters. I had never been won over by their greatest love of all thing they had going on until they were torn apart.

That is true and on second thought maybe one could say he did not accomplish anything by being semi forced to give Ganicus its freedom so why would he let another gladiator be free.
