It's sad that this publication's best work as of late have come in the form of Obituaries.  Between this article and the Levon Helm piece, I tip my cap to the AV Club for really nailing the essence of what makes these people so special, and hammering home the sad thought that they won't be contributing to the music

Coheed and Cambria: "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: III."

This is just to provide context to the younger people who have no fucking idea who Mick Jagger is.

Looking forward to the GangBang version.  I mean, there's more dudes than holes!

BBOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Now THAT's a "Smoking" Jacket!

Instead of doing a franchise re-boot, couldn't they just replace Spiderman 3 with something good and call it a decade?

So by "Inspired By," he really means "Ripped Off From."

This is the best piece on Helm I've read all day.  Excellent work, Mr. Hyden.

See: White House Correspondents dinner circa 2006.

That movie will make shred the lady parts of their last defenses!

What about Giblets?

That would be "Chicago Orifice," not "Chicago Office."  Poor copyediting, I suppose…

I'm a soon-to-be unemployed Special Education teacher (budget cuts) so I have lots of experience correcting the grammar of people with below-80 IQs.  I'm probably overqualified.

The Staples?  Beautiful version of that song.

@avclub-525f76574b3a2a5bcb4da793c92a16fb:disqus I'm going to assume you're a troll, because Young's version of "Helpless" in the movie (with Joni fucking Mitchell backing-up) is heartbreaking, and almost moved me to tears the first time I saw it.

His "O-Face" when the drums kick in near the climax is perfect.  I also love how they pretty much focus on Levon the entire time during that song.

@avclub-92a4841c9f86965effbc29fa6eae9f77:disqus  Until Garth lops Robertson's head off and screams "There can me only one Highlander!"

This is truly sad news for music.  I worry that he is the last of a certain breed of musician whose love for playing and creating music trumped all other aspects of life.  He was a man in tune with the roots of music, and who shared it with anyone who would listen.

Seriously, Krieger, you are my Oprah.
