Big fan of his. Glad this album keeps the positive vibes I felt on Acid Rap.

Why can't they all be Tammy Taylors?
Still involved a white savior character or two.
I've been thinking the exact same thing. Perfect timing for a really great album.
In my memory, he was an utter failure at SNL (except some of the musical bits) and yet he is trying to bring the SNL skits to his show, and failing at that (at least if "Ew" was any indication.) At least if he pre-tapes them he won't be able to break character and laugh at it.
It's official: I don't know you any more, AV Club.
As a fellow educator, I always appreciated Mrs. Wallace's portayal of Krabapple, and her ability to articulate the weariness and cynicism that comes over so many in the profession. She brought true dimension to the character with her wonderful voice.
So Mullholland Drive has officially been replaced in the "best lesbian sex scene on film" category?
The Big Lebowski, Miller's Crossing, and The Hudsucker Proxy excepted…
I'm with you on the Use Somebody love. It's biggest failing is really that it was unavoidable for 4 months, making it insufferable. After giving it a break, I think it totally stands up.

Personally I like Oliver better than Stewart has been in the past few months (dare I say a year?) The voices schtick has gotten old, and I feel as though Stewart has been setting things up for a big jugular kill, only to back our with a gag, or relying on the word "fuck" for cheap laughs. As a big fan of The Bugle,…
Just to clarify: The thing he hammered into the door is essentially a giant nut (note the hexagonal end to it) that he then applies a torque wrench to, enabling him to turn the lock without making much noise or having the proper key.
Though this album is pretty great, I feel as though a "FUCK YOU" album should be a little more subtle.
Rocky IV is great for camp value alone. The gung-ho America Rules Reaganism of the whole thing is just fantastic. Rocky single-handedly won the Cold War, he did, and he even got the Russians to cheer for him! And if I can change, and you can change, then we can all change, together!
I was planning on giving Season 4 the Rocky V treatment when I bought the box set: Coaster.
Liked for "Miller's Crossing" reference.
