Yeah, but she's gay… oh wait…

Oddly enough, the visual effects used on some of the deaths in "Drive" made me think they could have been taken from the Peter Jackson playbook…

I think that if anything, Pirating has altered our expectations for what SHOULD be.  For example, the whole outrage the author of The Oatmeal cartoon expresses comes from the fact that he is willing to pay for the content, and he thinks he SHOULD be able to pay for only what he wants, which flies in the face of the

Don't tell my 10th grade English teacher, but…

FINISH IT

My 8th grade English teacher made us read "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" and that was when I knew she was a former hippie.  For some reason, the flowing dresses, long straight hair, and patchouli stick didn't tip me off before.

I must have to thank the good people at Netflix for posting this on their streaming service, as I just spent a whole day of my vacation watching this series.  Really glad I did.  I agree with you 100% about missing the people that populate this fictional world.  It really was well drawn-out.

day late and a boner short.

It's a reference to a line from "Cedar Rapids" that was said by Isaiah Whitlock Jr., who played Clay Davis in the Wire.

Favorite line from this movie:  Mandela is trying to gain some street cred, and he turns to an aid and says "I don't mean to brag, but I do a pretty good Omar from the HBO program 'The Wire.'"

I also wonder if they could somehow roll in online views of T.V. shows with the Nielson ratings?  Or somehow report the number of eyeballs viewing online, as that number seems never to be reported, but I believe could be an important figure for people to know about…

Let the hand-wringing commence!

@Kenny Herzog:  Same thing happened to me with Britney Spears' "Till the World Ends."  It was everywhere in Bermuda while I was on my honeymoon, and I couldn't help but get into it.

I remember when Jessica Simpson was hot.  That was nice.

Though the YouTube audio is pretty shitty, I can tell that is one hell of a collaboration, and would have been in tears with you had I been there.

I suppose I was trying to say that this was the first I've heard of them, that's all.  Will check out Town Mountain.  Reminds of of Yonder Mountain.

Can't wait to give this a listen.  Big fan of bluegrass, and I'm always interested in learning new bands to check out.

I actually loved this album quite a bit when it came out.  I don't think it ages as well as Dylan's other albums, but this is some solid music here with some surprisingly good backing musicians.
