While we're talking about music in baseball, I would like to point out how awesome it is when Sinatra's "New York, New York" is played after a win walking out of Yankee Stadium, and how demoralizing it is when Liza Minelli's version is played after a loss.

Only Derek Jeter can use that one.

Airbag wouldn't be terrible as an entrance song, but overall you're absolutely right.  We're not trying to introduce people to new music here, we're trying to close this motherfucking game down!

Agreed.  That's like showing film of Michael Jordan dunking in a Wizards uni.  And this coming from a guy who dings Mo for being unoriginal!

My ultimate entrance song, especially if I were a boxer:  "Do you really want to hurt me" by Culture Club.

Add Space Mutiny to that, and you've pretty much got my top 4.

Not necessarily turning into a shithead, but as a parent, you don't want to have to put up with your little weiner-kid having nightmares because he saw someone's head pop off.  And you definitely don't want to have the "when a man and a woman love each other very much" talk because of a stupid sex scene.

If it's Lance Bass as the husband, now we're talking.

What was abnormal about it?

It seems nobody gives a flying fuck about the libelous stuff in the book.  Ex-post-facto and what not.  Also Rock and Roll.

I suppose clothes could be put into the "pop culture" category, in that we still all have to wear them like chumps.

This is probably the best interview I've read on this site in a long time.  Nicely done, and thanks for the gold Marino!

Sean, your commentary is increasingly resembling that of a man whose sole existence is being eroded away by a constant barrage of news reinforcing the worst of our fears that the entertainment business is going down the shitter fast.  Take a vacation, man.
