Very true. But I never bought Bogart's version of Linus falling for Sabrina. He just seemed to tolerate her. Ford's version had more depth.

The Stockholm thing is one of the biggest complaints about the original, so I'm wondering if they'll tackle it the second time. They might just play it for "laffs" since the genders are switched. That's what they did in Wedding Crashers.

I thought Ford and Ormond had better chemistry. Bogart just seemed like he couldn't be bothered, and IIRC, he wasn't fond of Hepburn's acting methods, and that kind of leeched into his performance.

It's a sweet little movie. And they had cute chemistry.

And they're remaking that movie, too. Just switching the genders around.

Yeah, the tonal shift is what really bothered me. You're sitting there crying because you finally see this great life that Ted and the mother had, then Ted's dumbass daughter suddenly chirps "Dad…you're totally in love with Aunt Robin!" Talk about jarring. It just cheapened the whole thing so much.

Amen. Scott and Ramona deserved each other, they were both boring as shit.

There's also the little problem of Andie not being attracted to him. I was glad that she didn't suddenly fall for Duckie in the end. She got who she wanted, and Duckie met a girl who was into him.

I suspect that's why her father was staying with them on the yacht/boat thing in the end. When Lucy would inevitably wake up and freak out because she was married to a complete stranger (and eventually carrying his child) her father probably explained the situation to her.

Unfortunately, they never actually said Abbie and Ichabod were a romantic pairing, despite all evidence pointing to it.

I thought they were good, if not fan service-y, except for Murray's. What a complete waste of time.

Same here. McKinnon was the weakest of the four. It was like Feig told her to adlib "mad scientist" and she cranked it up to ten.

Yep. I made the error of watching the extended cut before I saw the theatrical version, and cutting the dance sequence makes no sense in the context of the scene. And Melissa McCarthy and Leslie Jones have a hilarious bit that really should have made the final cut.

The intro is definitely noteworthy. I think it was the first song of theirs I heard, too.

Yeah, it's pretty bad. The original is cheesy enough, but this is Showgirls-level bad. The leads look more like brother and sister, and it's making the "romance" feel gross. Too much extra crap in the film, and the song covers are lousy.

Same. I thought it was part of a gimmick until I learned that's her real voice.

That's one of the few times her weird voice has benefited the sketch.
"I'm the baddest girl in the sixth grade!"

Could be for the best, since they barely used her, anyway. I remember the Time to Bleed sketch she did with Chris Hemsworth, and she was pretty funny as the straight man in that one. But she never had a recurring character or anything to fall back on. Still, I wish her the best of luck.

Yeah, that kid was…off. I think they were trying to play her off as precocious, but she was just creepy.

Meredith can be terrible, but I felt for her in that last scene, when she was forcing a smile while telling Nathan to go.
