I can't speak to the HBO trilogy — I haven't seen Deadwood yet, but this show (and Breaking Bad) are right up there with The Sopranos and The Wire. And also Six Feet Under, which gets forgotten a lot.

Completely agree here. I fell in love with Suits randomly — I went back home for a funeral, was lying on the couch and caught a marathon on Cloo. After than I watched all the episodes I missed (this was all within the past week, mind you) and caught up before tonight. The show is incredibly fun and as much as I like

@Barnitosupreme:disqus I watched both SatC and Entourage — I enjoyed both (and didn't enjoy them at some points), but hating Entourage should have no bearing on your enjoyment of SatC. Different type of storytelling all together — for one, the characters develop in SatC whereas Entourage devolved into a hoary 70s

Because 90% of those shows were on NBC.

I'd love for a real network to do a telenovela — anyone remember "Fashion House"? But Nick at Nite is not the network to do it clearly.

It's 80 episodes because they're going for the telenovela format of airing weekly without stopping. I know that sounds like a threat, but it's Nick at Nite's actual plan.

I enjoyed a lot of the finale, but the last ten minutes had a lot of problems that I got in all of the back nine.

I don't think Garbage has missed a single beat with this album, probably tied with their debut as a favorite just after Version 2.0. I think "Automatic Systematic Habit" is probably one of the best songs they've ever recorded.

Where can I sign up for Tyler Perry notifications?

I agree on the downer ending, though I do kinda wonder if it just meant they all never got together playing poker again? In theory, Lynette and Susan have to still interact if their kids had a baby together.

Thanks for this review. Being a soap fan, I've appreciated how DH had settled into a comfortable rhythm for the past few years and the series has pretty much stayed consistent, quality wise since season three. But I completely get where you're coming from — during the finale I was thinking about that first episode and

"Intergalatic" is probably my favorite Beastie Boys song.

@avclub-b9a25e422ba96f7572089a00b838c3f8:disqus Exactly. People bring up a big fuss over shows like this, where race isn't even involved, or a show like Ugly Betty where race was actually involved because these shows are always under a network microscope. If they fail, then it's not something that will continue to be
