Binging HIMYM should be assigned homework in film writing classes as a lesson in "Why you shouldn't get attached to an ending"

While I agree mostly, I ultimately think there's a big problem with Ted trying to start something with Robin again when the show spent so many episodes hammering in how they're not a good match and how Ted is going to let go of her. But at the end, they're gonna try again, which is so counter to all those messages in

Same here. I can actually watch old Lost episodes (another finale I hated) and say "Oh hey this is a good one" but I just flip the channel every time I see HIMYM coming on.

Hey quitting in your prime is perfectly punk which is why I'll never ever forgive his punk ass for leaving Community.

*mug drops slowly to the ground intercut with Star Wars clips*

this but unironically

AT-ATs! Lightsabers!

In the era of Space Trump, it's like all of our Space decency has gone out the pod bay doors!

Why in the world would you announce you're building a three star hotel? I'm no businessman (just like Trump heyoooooo I'll be here all week) but it seems like even those rubes in the flyover states (*laughs derisively through mouthful of caviar*) would like to stay in a five star hotel, or at least stay in blissful

I can't believe that nearly a full year later, we're all still arguing about a female-led Ghostbusters movie. Who says the country's not united?

It's weird because I think Maher is an insufferable smug ass, but I do kind of like his show because he shows he has different opinions on different subjects. Like, most pundits or politicans or even comedians these days are usually hard left or hard right and Maher, for all his smug grinny assholishness, gets up on

Makin her way
The only way she knows how
And that's just a little bit more than Netflix will allow

I think so, but Tiny Toons was never really that great, so why would you want to revive it?

The only thing I can really agree with/complain about in the article is Felicity's spontaneous development of being a one-woman CSI unit. It's like they decided "we need somebody to be the CSI person and shit we can't just get another Team Arrow member, so I guess Felicity?"

He's not quite super-badass though. At the end of leaving the island, he could fire a bow effectively, but he wasn't like, a master of hand-to-hand fighting or nearly as much of a skilled fighter as he is the "present day". My guess is that at some point in flashback-land, he's going to get yet more training.

Rob Huebel's frantic "Yesyesyesyesyesyes" while having sex with… everything was hilarious. Also even though I could see exactly where Taco's plot was going with the speed herbs, I still thought the payoff was pretty hilarious.

I think the point would be that Guitar Hero was massively successful and kind of paved the way for Rock Band's existence and therefore really should have been included in a retrospective on the decade, not that Rock Band is bad.

Part of me wants to respect VH1 for trying to even bring this series back, because I remember really liking the original I Love the 80s/70s/etc series, but man this sounds pretty dire (not having seen any of the episodes). It still just seems like it's just too soon. After all, the entire market for the show is

Tim Meadows' "You don't want no part of this shit" running gag made me laugh hysterically.
