He's such a great guy.

Still think Eunuch Provocateur is my favourite Mars Volta track. I was a little bit let down by Deloused, because the demo version of Roulette Dares they released when they first formed sounded great, really spacy with the keyboard a lot higher in the mix.  Deloused sounded really rocky and compressed by comparison.

The depth of Simpsons knowledge held by every member of the AV Club writing team and assumed to be held by every reader is probably my favourite thing about the AV Club.

Seriously, is the AV Club in the middle of a commenter exchange programme with 4chan or something?

There was this crazy thing that came out in court, about the manager of a drive-thru fast food restaurant near the murder site finding an incoherent, mentally unhinged black guy, covered in blood, in the ladies bathroom the night of the killings.

Just finished watching the first two documentaries, pretty incredible stuff. One thing that was a little discomfiting for me was that, for a documentary about prejudice, I kept finding it really hard not to make similar judgements about Mark Byers.

How many years have elapsed between thinking of that bon mot and someone actually mentioning Refused?

That sounds like a cool story, bro.

I got to see them three times in a weekend when they curated ATP, and it was amazing. Even the Yanqui UXO stuff, which doesn't gel so much for me, sounded great. My friend started crying during BBFIII and I didn't even rip on him for it later.

Swedish House Mafia are really big in the music that sounds like alcopops and sadness scene.

I loved it, definitely wouldn't compare it to The King's Speech or The Iron Lady or anything like that.

@avclub-0ec29ebfebc8170bf981e16247ca1298:disqus doesn't it have Bill the Cat running with Opus to try and help him fly, or something equally saccharine?

There's something about hearing Joanna Lumley, OBE, fellow of the Royal Geographic Society, champion of the Gurkhas, drawl "I got some pills from Dave down at the Dog and Minge in Canning Town."

I was scanning the comments for a mention of this. I turned on the tv once just as this was finishing, and have wondered ever since whether I'd just imagined it.

I wish there was a more tangible way to express my liking for both your comments. Like, if there was an "I enjoyed your comment on the internet" e-card or something.

Andre 3000 does the best guest verses. If it's a good song, like What a Job by Devin the Dude, he makes it a great song. And if it's a mediocre song, like Green Light by John Legend, he makes makes you wish you had the time or the talent to edit out the John Legend sections.

That was the first episode of Sherlock I'd watched. Beyond pleasantly surprised.

I'd go with Suited for Success, just because the message that clients should get out of the way and stop trying to tell creative people how to do their jobs is incredibly important for kids to learn. Also, Sondheim song.

*obligatory comment about how the Danish original of the Killing is actually pretty great*

Fluttershy, you are the reason MLP ended up as one of my favourite shows of the year. I'd never have come across it otherwise.
