I did get a steampunk vibe off it, but it seemed way more cyberpunk. Lots of Victoriana, but the actual tech seemed a lot more stream-lined and modern.
I agree people should be allowed to do what they want at their weddings, but if family is putting up $20,000 or whatever for the ceremony and reception, and the groom's suddenly decided it should be Star wars themed or whatever, I think they're well within their rights to tell him to fuck off.

Sun Kil Moon does a pretty nice cover of The Ocean Breathes Salty by Modest Mouse on Tiny Cities.
Fair play, it's categorised as an inventory, but it was blatantly going to be a little throwaway piece.
It's a blog post not a feature, man.
Hahaha, oh my god, this video is jawdropping.

Crying of Lot 49 melted my face off when I read it, would always recommend that as a starting point for anyone wanting to get into Pynchon.
I love Underworld, it's probably my favourite DeLillo book, I like all the digressions. It's like Infinite Jest, you could easily cut like a third of it out without losing much of the plot, but it's so well written you don't mind meandering through.
Ah man, I last saw that movie on Betamax.
