I worked my regular shifts, proofread two separate manga volumes, watched the first episode of the new MST3k, started playing Persona 5, and made an immensely important personal decision for my future. I feel good about all those things.

Like a balloon, and… something bad happens!
I very much enjoyed the excellent Monkey Island joke in Uncharted 4, particularly in how subtle and unexpected it was. I think that's the key to this kind of reference: funny if you get it, but unobtrusive if you don't. By contrast, the Crash Bandicoot bit was cute but not much more than that, perhaps because I never…

Today we are all walking on sunshine.
Come to think of it, that's also kind of how it works in The Sims.
Ha ha, yes, Xenosaga and its rampant insanity forever! I must argue a counterpoint, however: Albedo is in fact the worst. I forget whether he's in the first game, though.
They've tried, but it always turns out that he's in another castle.
Well, I finished up Uncharted 4, and had a grand old time with it. I wasn't too pleased with the climax, because basing the last fight of the game around a brand-new mechanic that must be instantly mastered or else is never a good idea. But beyond that, the storytelling choices were sound and genuinely surprised me.…
I assume you're a big fan of A Tribe Called Quest.
I've been on vacation for a week, so I'm at the same point in Uncharted 4 that I was last time: about to explore the Pirate Gated Community, shortly before (I assume) the requisite armed thugs show up to blow it to smithereens. I very much appreciate that Elena is now part of the action and that her subplot, of which…
He already knows they won't.
Other copy editors, and we're real dicks about it!
This game is rated M… for Mancy.
Regrettably, I have no gorilla coworkers.
A coworker of mine is a huge Mass Effect fan and preordered the game, so my plan for now is to periodically check in on how he's enjoying himself before buying the game. Which I most likely will, but for now Persona 5 is bumped up to the front of my list. Considering how long it took me to play the first ME trilogy (I…
Maybe, but I'm quite tired of the story trope of the protagonist pointlessly withholding important information from his or her loved ones that inevitably gets revealed and provokes a big fight down the road. (The CW's superhero shows keep going to this well, for instance, and it's infuriating.)
For better and for worse, yeah. I mean, sure, it's plausible that Drake is the kind of idiot who would lie to his wife about a major personal undertaking that she should absolutely be a part of and would most likely support, but that doesn't mean I enjoy watching it.
Ha ha, yes, I loved how little of a shit he gave about the Assassins for 80% of the game. Screw this spy vs. spy business, I'm gonna be a goddamned pirate.
