my theory is that as horror directors get old they pass over some of the writing duties, and that horror movies need the directors to write the scripts

i think there is a third kind of spinoff too where a creator sees he has clout and wants the opportunity to have a second show on the air while he knows he can i.e. angel or the x-files spinoffs

I'm surprised to see that this one was taken less favorably than last weeks - I thought it was the best episode thusfar. Sure the plot was weak but the character work was strong and in a genre show I can handle a weak plot as an excuse to hang some character work on.
