Timing is just so not DA's forte. The kids' ages seem to be all wrong, for one thing: apart from Edith's daughter, little Sybbie and George also seem way older than they should be. But I'd be willing to look past that - after all, it's difficult for TV shows to work with very young kids. But the other issues are more

They have aged because the actors have aged. Obviously, they are real human beings, so they would age in the roughly 5 years the show has been on the air. But the characters haven't aged 12 years, the amount of time that has lapsed in-universe since the beginning of the show.

I agree - it's really irritating how the show goes out of its way to taunt Molesley, who is sweet and harmless, while Bates, who is a monster, is treated like he can do no wrong. It's particularly jarring when you realize that in season 1, Bates was actually the one who was sweet and harmless, and the show bent over

I believe you're talking about 'The Last Seance'. And yes, it's incredibly creepy.

No, that's not what she meant. "…a Dark Sansa storyline culminating with irritating inbred cousin-icide". The adjective "inbred" in this sentence clearly refers to the irritating cousin himself, not to the fact that he is Sansa's cousin.

Uh, why 'inbred' cousin? As annoying as he is, Sweetrobin is not inbred. Lysa Tully and Jon Arryn were no relation to each other before marriage.

A box of chocolates, maybe. With a label that says 'Life' on it, and no diagram showing which chocolates are which flavour.

I agree - it was such a shitty move. So did they actually leave a bird locked up in there over the holidays, contaminating all the equipment?

Also, no matter what the pre-Raj dynamics were, Raj has been a part of the group for at least 12 years now (based on the flashback episode, which took place in 2002). It's kind of ridiculous for Howard to accuse Leonard of jealousy because they used to be best friends over 12 years ago.

Oh right, the North Sea expedition. I didn't think of that as 'working with Stephen Hawking', because he wasn't actually present on the expedition.

Wasn't it Howard, not Leonard, who worked with Stephen Hawking?

It was really odd that the A and B stories in this episode had no connection/crossover at all. They might as well be in different shows altogether. Even if the characters in the two subplots had no scenes together, surely there could have been some acknowledgement in dialogue of even the existence of the other members

What are the chances of Gimore Girls reviews being continued here on AV Club? Now that David Sims is gone, maybe someone who actually likes the show can review it. There's definitely readership out there for them. I get multiple guest likes on my comments on the GG reviews every single day. Obviously people are still

You mean Kirk.

I agreed with you 100% till I came to your last sentence, at which point, I started disagreeing with you 100%.

"But it was the last refuge!"

In this case, the 'beholder' is the show itself. Penny's experiences - despite such horrible details - are portrayed as being somehow superior to the others' experiences.

"these characters need to get over high school. they are in their 30's."
Agree with that so much. it's utterly ridiculous that people would be so hung up on bad prom experiences 15 years after finishing high school.

Penny is a hot blonde. According to the show's logic, that's all it takes for someone to have a perfect high school experience.

Amy wore her tiara in last season's The Convention Conundrum.
