Plus on the show, we won't have to worry too much about trying to remember all those wacky Meereenese names.

Oh come on… lovesick Robb is by far the worst change on the show. It changes his entire character and motivation. The Tickler change was an annoying one, to be sure, but it didn't change anyone's character.

"You have to carry me."
"You think?"

Yeah, it seemed strange that he didn't factor that into his decision - at least until when he was at the store, and had some games for both systems in his hand.

The "high school" line was so icky … the implicit meaning seemed to be "Too bad you're still in high school - college chicks are so much sluttier."

Daphne was showing aspects of all three of her parents in this episode: John's anger, Kathryn's compassion and Regina's sense of justice.

*Drowns Douay-Rheims-Challoner* … What? It's a religious rite. *Looks as innocent as possible*

But the show loves Littlefinger (understandably enough) - so Sansa's story won't be so much watching Littlefinger, as it will be Littlefinger's story, with Sansa sitting in the background somewhere.

Absolutely no one will mourn the lack of old Damp Hair, aka the most boring character to ever exist.

GRRM: "But … but contemplating menus is the best part! Don't you get that the whole series is a cunningly disguised ode to medieval food? The only reason I put in stuff like characters and plot is so that there would be someone there doing the eating, and that it would feel so much better when they could get back to

Psst! It's The Princess and the Queen, not Dragon. Understandable mistake though. ;)

The Princess and The Queen would be great to watch on TV, if they ever do that one. All the dragon fights that we've been dying to see on GoT - The Princess and The Queen has all of those, and several dozen more. Wall-to-wall* CGI dragons roasting people alive - what's not to love?

The head start doesn't seem to have helped so far.

That big question will not be answered until the last book. Who cares about the dragons or the fate of Westeros or the dozens of characters? We keep reading ASoIaF because we want to know Where the Whores Go.

The first two parts of season 1* were great, the third (Chef Jeff part) was awful, the first part of season 2 was great (Occupy Carlton), second part was not so great (summer of Jace), and now the first part of season 3 has been mediocre. Based on these (completely unconvincing ;) ) statistics, I predict that the

Or maybe they replaced their phones at some point in the next 20 years.

And serious conversations between two people where one
does not look at the other even when actually
speaking.

But none of them (except Amy) actually reads books - that is, the kind that don't have drawings in them.

A LOT is not the same as ALL. Some women genuinely don't want those things. But it's literally impossible to find such women portrayed positively or even neutrally in TV and movies.

The worst offender in the 'super-quick labour' department was Quinn
giving birth in the space of one song on Glee. Granted, the song was
Bohemian Rhapsody, which is pretty long … but still several hours too
short. Everyone in New Directions (except Rachel) even had the time to
run off to see Quinn's baby, and come
