But what was the point of Ted deliberately getting Lily out of the car? Lily thought it was because Ted wanted to give Robin the locket, but he didn't give it to her (yet - it will probably surface in the near future). So why did Ted want Lily out of the car? Will we find out about it in some later episode?
And it only took two and a half seasons for that to show up in his reviews.
Is it 'Shrinking' or 'Sinking'?
That was literally the one and only time I liked Logan, and felt his character's presence was justified on the show.
Umm…. where did I say that was a flaw in the writing? That's a flaw in Lorelai's character - a nasty one, that instantaneously transforms her from an enjoyable and sympathetic protagonist to an insufferable drama-queen whenever it rears its ugly head.
Learning not to snap when our buttons are pushed is exactly what is called 'growing up'. Sorry, I have zero sympathy for people who act out their personal melodramas in public - in fiction and in real life.
Lol! I always wonder that. Apparently all classes in TV land are roughly 20 seconds long, so the bell rings just as the teacher starts to say something.
Since the 'like' function is not working, I'm just posting to say I very much 'like' your description of that party as 'Rory auction'.
@avclub-b1d0b795c173d734541b69a73bcc07f7:disqus I disagree with your first paragraph but agree wholeheartedly with the second. Lorelai makes it pretty clear that she's upset at the mere fact that Rory applied to any school apart from Harvard, and the fact that she applied to Yale is simply insult to injury. Also, no…
I really don't get the hatred for April at all. I kind of liked her (though I admit she could be annoying on occasion - but so can almost every other character).
Lol! I assume it's the same counsellor that Paris drove to tears.
@avclub-284452bdab5c8151f9f079dc367ceb6b:disqus Yeah, what the heck is going on with the 'like' system? I thought there was some problem at my end, but it seems to be Disqus up to its usual tricks.
I agree that's a great episode. But on the whole, I don't much like season 4 - but that has mainly to do with my dislike of Digger (I'll probably get lynched for that opinion). I don't know what the general consensus is, though.
No mention of the rather tedious Francie storyline in 'That’ll Do, Pig'? Well, not that I'm complaining. The less said about Francie, the better - she's so utterly boring. The only thing I liked was Rory's talk with her in the bathroom - well, not the talk itself, but how it was the mirror opposite of Francie's…
OMG, did I just step through the looking glass or something?! I agreed almost fully with a Sims review! What's happening to me? *checks self for a temperature*
I was going to save this for the quotes list, but I don't think I can wait. Voila, Emily's funniest line ever:
When I originally watched 'Let the Games Begin', I thought that Lorelai's dinner-time story about the grisly murders in Frank Lloyd Wright's family was completely made up. But I recently Googled it, and it turns out to be completely true! Well, the reason for the murderer's displeasure was probably not walnuts in the…
@avclub-6a2bf4f521361547e6366a4cc3fbd6cf:disqus I don't know why I'm arguing this either … but anyway …
If Paris were in charge of Emily/Amanda's revenge plan, all the Graysons would be huddled in a corner sobbing by now, instead of still at large and still ruining people's lives.
