@avclub-97a0b256b73505382d3bbd1eac096563:disqus A thousand likes (or just one, since that's how the system works).

Hey, you stole my favourite quote from these episodes - the childbirth exchange between Lane and Rory. ;)

You mean you'd get too drunk to remember if you hired him.

Did anyone understand what the Town Loner said during his protest? I've been trying to figure it out. It sounds like he's saying actual words, but they're just a little garbled, so I can't quite understand them.

Sims's theories about the seasons seem to have little to no correspondence to the actual show. I'm not sure what he even considers the 'main story arcs' of season 3. Assuming there even are any such arcs, surely Sherry's pregnancy is one such story arc? And if so, 'Take the Deviled Eggs…' is a major instalment in that

They're two really beautiful people, aren't they? Imagine the ultra-cute babies they would make!

I think Lorelai might be turned on by that. She'd certainly like it a lot more than a never-ending monologue on cars and wine.

I didn't realize it until I rewatched it now, but "Take The Deviled Eggs…" is easily my least favourite episode of the first 3 seasons. Sherry is insufferable, but frankly, Lorelai is just as insufferable at the baby shower and afterwards. Sure, she has a reason to resent Sherry, but I think her bitchy attitude

Well, she didn't star - she was in, what, 3 episodes?

"Eight O'Clock at the Oasis" - aka The One Where Lorelai Dates Don Draper.

@avclub-362c94df8a8c6b76e42047bc8868847b:disqus  You're making two different points, and you seem to be criticizing me for disagreeing with one when in fact I disagree with the other. I agree that "not knowing how to apply to college is not blasphemously unheard of, neither is applying to the Ivies". Of course there

@avclub-284452bdab5c8151f9f079dc367ceb6b:disqus I'm no expert either, but as far as I understand, bleaching hair makes it pale blonde, not white. All hair dyes therefore presumably take into consideration that the base colour of the hair will be blonde, not white.

@avclub-362c94df8a8c6b76e42047bc8868847b:disqus I apparently am not properly expressing something: no one Rory usually hangs out with/grew up with has ever talked about college.

Quotes! The ones from “One’s Got Class And The Other One Dyes” are particularly Lane-heavy. What can I say - I have a huge soft spot for her. Not to mention that she's the second most quotable person on the show (first being Lorelai, of course).

Some weird continuity going on with Shane in “One's Got Class And the Other One Dyes”. In Rory's story, she's working at the Beauty Supply store, while in Lorelai's story, she is apparently hiding in Luke's closet. Yet both stories occur simultaneously. Did Shane run off in the middle of work to go make out with her

@avclub-362c94df8a8c6b76e42047bc8868847b:disqus That explanation, if true, would make Lorelai look like an even bigger idiot. She's spent Rory's entire life - 17 years - gearing her up to go to Harvard, and yet doesn't have the faintest clue about the practicalities of applying to college?!

@orangeshoes:disqus But even if we assume that Sims has never so much as peeked at the comments in all this time, surely there's someone in the AV Club whose job it is to keep tabs on the comments and see if the reviews are well-received or not, and who would let Sims know that his reviewing style is going over really

The blonde wig is so ultra-unconvincing that when Rory says it looks like straw, I wondered if they had actually glued straw onto Keiko's head.

@avclub-bbd1d1285778b99af0d511a50652f141:disqus Daenerys 'Bad-Hair-Day' Targaryen begs to disagree. Cersei 'Obvious-Rug' Lannister chimes in as well.

Everything that happened in Season 7 happened in the darkest timeline.
