@avclub-a5fdfa672284da6bf4f4326e2b3698bd:disqus  If Malcolm gives Denise the HII at F5 (when she asked for it, but didn't ultimately need it either), does that make it more likely that she agrees to force a tie at F4 and let Malcolm get into a fire duel to make it to Final Tribal?

Cochran did it wrong, because he didn't demand anything in exchange for his flip.

But usually, IIRC, that double elimination episode is just "two obvious boots, shortened from two episodes into one," as opposed to changing the schedule of the game while it's being played.

I seem to recall that had something to do with just how long that challenge lasted, and the difficulty of rousing all the jurors to attend TC and then keep things on schedule for final tribal.

And Indiana's libertarian candidate for Governor in 2012, receiving 3.95% of the vote.

And I continue to disagree with that view, because that Idol can still be used to protect a second person (and if not at that TC, then at a previous one).

Hatch was mostly a dick in his camera interviews, not to the others in the game (the first time around).  Only Kelly really seemed to bear animus towards him.

I have never been a fan of Rent A Native as a reward — it just gives me the cultural oogies … with one exception.  In season 3 of the Israeli version of Survivor (video unfortunately no longer online, from what I can tell), the rent-a-native was … Rupert Boneham.

(I recognize I'm responding a year later, but I'm re-watching again now.)  It's not hard to imagine Tony feeling the need to kill Christopher on account of Ade's flipping — do you have any doubt that Marlo Stanfield would have, under similar circumstances?

Would you like to know more? The chapter on The Minutemen in Michael Azerrad's OUR BAND COULD BE YOUR LIFE (a dozen mini bios of American underground bands of the pre-Nirvana era) is itself worth the price of the book.  But the whole book is great: Huskers, Replacements, Black Flag, Fugazi ….

Small thing I liked: that Matan Brody, who has barely been seen in the show in some time, is still on Peter's speed-dial.

The whole first half of season three — the cages — felt like stalling while keeping everyone separated.  And some people (not me) hate Expose.

And Patti Nyholm.  With Lewis Canning as their boss.

I doubt it.  Eli was initially alleged to be offering fee discounts for campaign donations, which arguably would be a way to circumvent campaign limits (or something like that).

I'd like to see Cary Agos get regular plots in the series too.

I'm not entirely sure if any aspect of that performance was live, but certainly not the horns (or Ryan Lewis)

It's been for about a month, at least.  SNL is the best-rated program on the network.

FWIW, the Martin Short episode > the Christoph Waltz one this season. Royal Family Doctor! You're a Rat Bastard, Charlie Brown!

As many involved in the show have long said, the show doesn't go on-air because it's ready; it goes on-air because it's 11:30pm on Saturday night.
