When Nearly Silent Nick starts looking like a highlight …

@UWIR:disqus no promise in Survivor is truly enforceable, but you've at least got to try.  Having them confirm the terms in TC is one way.

Let's see if Shamar can swim.

It's a great interview. Klosterman's obviously smarter about this game than Probst himself; I've quoted from CK's essay on the importance of the first TC's vote repeatedly in the past.

If I had a dollar, I might give you ninety-nine.

Cochran's problem last time was that he had the leverage, but didn't make a sufficient demand for his flip.  He won't eff that up again.

Leo's accidental death in China while searching for his sister?

"When they stage a scene from late in the musical featuring JFK—“Our Little Secret”—and everyone talks about how much better it is, I feel like I’ve got nothing to work with in order to evaluate this claim."

Plastic surgery did. The man's facelift(s) made it so he could no longer act with gestures; all he had left was his voice.

Yes, firms have non-equity partners. It means "we value you enough to elevate your title, but not so much your salary."

1. Magic! (Also, Chumhum and Bishop $.)
5. It got bad when it looked like LG wasn't providing Thief with strong representation. You don't want to be humbled like that.
6.  Not really.
12. They've always been sketchy with electoral timelines on this show.

Bishop was mentioned twice: first, for generating $42M in fees in the last quarter (which I believe Maury Levy would doubt); second as a potential client for Florrick Agos & Associates to steal, based on Alicia's close ties to the client.

And yet you still left out two-time Academy Award nominee Djimon Hounsou's portrayal of a bouncer in the Beverly Hills 90210 pilot. For shame, VanDerWerff!

Loved it but-for the massive reset button pressed in the first two minutes of the episode. $42M from Lemond Bishop, in a quarter?  (In a decade, maybe, is more realistic.) And whatever ridiculous sum they also earned from Chumhum work in, what, a month?

Loved Djesus Uncrossed, liked Casual Hitler, liked the Alabama Shakes, and was pretty bored by the rest. I think the mediocre stretch after the brilliant Martin Short episode may have lowered folks' standards.

Mumford's daughters are not in foster care.

Fighting back by invading the sorority, spying on them, and publishing vulgar photos?  The only part of the competition they won legit was the belching round.
