For all the padding of the finale — prolonged Fallen Comrades sequence, burning down the camp, etc. — the one bit of padding I missed (and they haven't done it in a long time) is the incredibly convoluted "Jeff Probst takes multiple forms of transportation from Final Tribal back to the studio."

Bingo: the way to be safe(r) at Final 4 is to have one other person who will not write your name down.  Playing coy with Denise at F5 and not lending the HII furthered an unnecessary schism.
