As long as 85% of the runtime can be devoted to discussing the fallout from “the snap”, because I don’t think the MCU has really talked much about that in its post-Endgame content.

A big problem in hindsight is that they’ve sorta misplaced crucial parts of Boyle’s arc progression. They’ve paired him up with Genevieve and gave him a son, but then they moved straight up into arcs like Charles getting into food trucks or his vicariously living off of Amy and Jake’s relationship - those would have

I’ve long thought the FF were the 50'-60's superhero story we didn’t get, and they should be stuck in dimension x or whatever, and then return out of time to warn us about the....PLOT. Like they were contemporaries with the 1st Ant man or whatever, but their adventure meant they blipped out.

Maybe it’s the comics reader in me, but the “why didn’t you stop X” line of questioning just exhausts me because pulling on that narrative thread gets you nowhere.

The Greatest Showman: Hugh Jackman falls for a singing Rebecca Ferguson.

A Dowd B- is about as good as a B or even B+ from many other critics, the concept (from what I’ve read) is right up my alley, and I like Jackman and Newton. Sounds like I’ve got another movie to add to my watchlist.

I’m a huge fan of Jude Law now (hello Young/New Pope!) but I think this was the first movie I’d seen him in, that I can recall, where his acting eclipsed his looks. Before Gattaca I remember seeing him in the Alfie remake, which while pretty good, factored so much into his looks and charm (though it did have a message

See also Godard’s Alphaville (1965). The futuristic dystopian city isn’t a set -- it’s just various Brutalist buildings in 1960s Paris.

Architecture fans will love this movie. FLW and Antoine Predock buildings are prodominantly featured. Very visually striking movie.

I give you permission to speak for every English person in these comment sections, use your powers wisely.

Oh, my favorite bit of that one is when Venom-Thor thinks he’s defeated everyone and you see someone in shadow and he’s all, “Oh, and who are you?” and it’s Black Bolt, who just SHATTERS Venom.

It was not. She said “We are a non-vaccinating family.”

In 2009 it was a different story:

She described her house as “a non-vaccinating household” a while back but walked it back once it started to blow up.

Please. I’m a woman. That’s completely NOT why I can’t stand her, and haven’t for over a decade.

Back when her kids were little, she had a whole shtick where she wasn’t totally anti-vaccine but had a lot of dubious opinions about “safety.” she was very into attachment parentng and was generally completely insufferable.

And her Neuriva ads are completely irresponsible.

She’s plenty anti-vax. Just because she admitted she and her kids have received some vaccines doesn’t make her pro-vax. She’s definitely expressed some irresponsible opinions on vaccines.

Sure is! And is presently shilling some absolute fucking bullshit brain supplements!

Bialik has a hilarious vaccine position where she was like “The only vaccine I’ve ever received was the COVID vaccine”

Isn’t Bialik anti-vax and I can’t think of a term to describe her not feminist views, that maybe, she shouldn’t be given more high profile positions than she already has?
