Yeeeah, we don’t talk about that. It was a live-action series about four annoying teenagers who found a way to digitize themselves into the computer world. None of the wit or drama from the original series was there; it was just trading off the name.
As a fan of enormous, square breasts, I’m very disappointed by this news.
High key disappointed that this isn’t actually a reboot of ReBoot, so I’m just going to pretend that it is instead.
Here’s a translation of the four audio clips, the earliest one first. It’s hard to capture the tonality, and I’ve tried to go for accuracy rather than cleanly flowing dialogue, and it’s rather chaotic at times, but something close to this:
CLIP 1:
Kinnaman: I’m ashamed for how I behaved afterwards.
Ooh, good question. Probably Blackwater and Dick Cheney.
Isn’t “forgettable” implied when talking about Netflix original movies?
If you made it one movie, then how would you stop the movie cold to have a bunch of annoying characters sing a song about washing the dishes?
Somehow I was under the impression that this was a complete, limited series. After watching the first couple of episodes, I thought there were things to admire about it, but I didn’t know if I wanted to watch it weekly. I was waiting to see how the reviews of the finale sounded.
I don’t listen to Billie Eilish. Her music means the world to my stepdaughter, so I have some respect for anyone who makes her feel special & respected. She could be amazing but it’s not my call to make, & I’m not going to criticize anyone for their taste.
Also, saying she “one-upped” Cobain is by attacking the fans shows a profound misunderstanding of Cobain’s lyric. By saying “teenage angst has paid off well, now I’m bored and old”, it’s not just a weary groan about fame. It’s a warning to listeners (especially the jock meathead types who just moshed to it like they…
Damn, all this show was missing was a group of evil people being led by a charismatic or sinister leader.
Would be pretty cool if they did a post-credits “knowing is half the battle” scene after one of these things too.
I think the ceiling for this movie is probably... Bumblee? The floor is GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra.
“Is it just us, or does Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins look pretty sick”
I’ll tell that to the PA shitting in a takeout cup in his car. (True story that I have heard from *more than one* PA buddy.)
I watched this movie out of curiosity to see if it reached so bad it was good levels. It did not. However, I did really actually like the cameo that this article is about, so I cannot begrudge it!
Lol the dissonance of multiple space jam puff pieces... And the c- review. 🤣🤣🤣
