There was also an issue of the Transformers comic that had a GI JOE crossover (probably around the same time as the cartoon did, I’m guessing), with the Joes, the Dinobots, the Decepticons and Cobra all chasing down a newly-sentient non-Transformer robot through London’s sewers, and it was legitimately awesome.

It’s even more nerdy that I didn’t have to look up that they called him “Old Snake”.

I mentioned this below in response to another comment. We were trying to guess what sitcom kitchen is in the 80s photo in the article above. There has been Cosby Show, Cheers, Growing Pains, Who’s the Boss, and finally Family Ties. It has to be Family Ties as the most representative sitcom about a family and their

Too many in the case of Babylon 5.  We have lost a lot of the cast

More time has passed between the airing of the B5 finale and the amount of time Sheridan had left when he was returned by Lorien.

I saw a tweet earlier that of the main cast members of The Gathering (the B5 pilot), only three are alive: Tamlyn Tomita, Peter Jurasik, and Patricia Tallman.

So they changed the acronym for SWORD from Sentient World Observation and Response Division to Sentient Weapon Observation and Response Division. That works for me.

That’s too many for a show that was on less than 30 years ago. O’Hare, Katsulas, Furlan, Biggs, Doyle, Conaway, Furst...

This show is a bit fun, but also kind of aggressively dumb. I know this can’t be the case, but it feels like it was written by stupid people.

To be honest, I think it would look a lot more like the O’Leary Commanding series of books, which are kind of junky sci-fi, but are very much Hornblower/M&C in space in that they focus a lot more on day to day life on a starship, rather than tense battles between. It’s... also a bit fascistic, unfortunately.

I mean, kidding aside, both O’Brian’s books and Star Trek basically owe everything to Horatio Hornblower, so you’re not really that far off here.

Except Master & Commander is actually good.

they had to wait to write the script if it included Daredevil or wait to cast him or wait for anyone related to Daredevil at all.

I finally got around to watching this. First of all, I generally like this show a lot more than many of the commenters here. Which is not to say there aren’t a lot of flaws, just that I enjoy the show overall, even if I do roll my eyes at the speechifying every so often (and really, Tilly when you are low on oxygen is

Hell yeah. I haven’t seen their newest film yet, but these guys have made consistently interesting movies with little to no money, Spring is probably one of my favorite films of the last decade. And they always get weird with it, so hiring them sounds like this show is going in the right direction. And there have been

That’s pretty much how I felt. Another just OK season, so... might as well see if this works. They’ve basically been building to this since the first episode of the show, and the longer they hold of on it the more annoying it gets. So lets just see Michael as captain and see how that goes. At least we won’t get any

Hey I liked Ossyraa’s ‘80s flair. (No really I did)

I concede it was better than Picard” - that’s a low fucking bar.

That’s funny, I’ve had sort of the opposite experience with the film. The more I’ve sat with it, the more nuance I’ve been able to identify in the film.
