NEWBY DID NOTHING WRONG
NEWBY DID NOTHING WRONG
They've just announced that a new console game is in development. This show is going nowhere.
It's not much of a hiatus- there seems to be a new episode on the 23rd.
Lauren and Raven are probably my two favourite boarders on staff, but it's fairly easy to see why they were never paired up before- their styles mesh together not at all.
Thank goodness for a little Lapis character development. The character's got so much potential to be mined, so it was a little frustrating to see her function as Peridot's sarcastic anti-social roommate and little else in recent episodes. Maybe one day she'll have some meaningful interaction with one of the main gems,…
Glad this episode settled for once and for all who the best Gem is.

If this is the standard of Gatiss's solo episode, the rest of this series could be something very special indeed. It's handily better than The Empty Hearse and the Hounds of Baskerville, and probably better than The Great Game too.
I don't think it's Moriarty who sent her. Check out the flashback scene of her waiting for John at the bus stop- she's sat next to a poster of Toby Jones's character from next week.
You know, give or take a little banter in Hit the Diamond, that's the first time we've seen the whole of the expanded Gem team actually interacting with each other.
The fact that a Black Mirror episode made me weep happy tears is the biggest twist that the series has served us up yet. I was SO prepared for tragedy to strike, for the technology to fail, for the sting in the tail… and the fact that we didn't get these things made the joy of Yorkie and Kelly's ending all the better.
Between this and the We Bare Bears crew going on the lam with Craboo, it's been a ripe week for Cartoon Network protagonists on the run from the popo.
I look forward to seeing more of Mysterious Woman. She seemed nice.
I can see that, and it feels super weird not to have Crack the Whip, Alone at Sea or Bubbled on the list, but Restaurant Wars absolutely hit the spot for me in a way I just didn't expect.
Kiki's Pizza Delivery Service.

She couldn't ask a question because the writers' guidelines stipulate that Garnet never asks questions. Just another layer of this episode's meta-humour.
Somewhere, right now, Nicki Minaj is picking up the phone to her agent.
I liked having a breather, at least- the last two weeks have been some heavy, heavy stuff, and I'm never opposed to a little Wile E. Coyote homage. It was undoubtedly very throwaway (give or take Peridot learning how to bubble things), but I don't actually mind that as of this moment.
Man, why did it have to be Eyeball?
