I think the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" credits just got better and better with every season. Better timing, better clip selection, better pacing (i.e. not cramming in too many or too few clips and syncing them up with the music smoothly). Too bad that wasn't an indication of this show's quality. The season 6 credits…
WAAAHHHHHHHHH! SEE YA TAHMAHROW!
Two favourite parts:
I don't remember "Chimera", and I'm not sure if I ever even saw it, but the DS9 episode of the same name is damn good television. I think it's a safe bet that it's superior to this one. Zack will be in a better position to compare the two when he gets to it.
In the '50s one, Jesus only had a cameo. There's a long shot of a crowd gathered around him while he speaks (we don't hear anything he says). There's also another shot where we see the back of his head as Heston, crawling in the desert, looks up at him and basically says, "Hey, I know you!" Seriously, I'm not making…
That couple in "X-Cops" may seem like an extraneous drag on the story, but I think their presence is justified at least by the hilariousness of one of them wailing, "HE WON'T MAKE LOVE TO ME ANYMORE!" and breaking into sobs.
I totally agree that this is a masterpiece and one of the most beautifully made films ever, but was anyone else disappointed by the final moments?
Bravo for the pun of "taking a stab" going with the picture of her brandishing that funky knife Faith got from Evil Mayor. Inspired.
When I saw "Scary Movie" in 2000, I was instantly smitten with Anna Faris. I'm very rarely impressed with newer, younger actresses, as I tend to prefer the classics, but this was an exception.
YES! That's what I said. Star Trek IV rocks. Should have been the last one with the original crew. VI is okay, but overrated. IV is so fun AND clever, without even having a real bad guy! The people making the new Star Trek movies (and even movies in general these days) could learn a lot from it.

Aw, I love "Star Trek IV". My favourite of the originals after "The Wrath of Khan". What a baffling cheap shot.

"Weeds" - dissed yet again by The A.V. Club. Not good enough to be included in part 2 of the 'leftovers' list…not even bad enough to be on the shit list.

I'm in suspense about if they'll acknowledge the series finale of "Weeds", given this site's sometimes condescending attitude towards it (i.e. deciding seasons 6 isn't worth reviewing after watching a mere ONE episode). I stopped watching after the horrible season 7 and tuned in for the last two episodes of season 8…

I can't be objective about "Orison"…I just think Pfaster is the most sickening character I've ever seen on any show. I absolutely hated watching him, listening to him, having him on my screen. His voice, facial expressions, body language and dialog were all just so UGH. The first time I re-watched his episodes, I knew…
