I hope so. I'm biased beause I love that subculture, but I really dig the movie and think it's way underrated. It's hard for me to imagine Sawa as a teen heartthrob, since "SLC Punk!" is the movie I remember him most from and he was such a weird-looking goofball in it (although I've seen "Casper" and "Now and Then"…

Don't you think it's a little unnecessary to put "Arnold" and "Sylvester" in square brackets before "Schwarzenegger" and "Stallone"? What other celebrity associated with Planet Hollywood has the surname "Schwarzenegger"?

When you call them THE Hollywood couple of the 20th century, are you talking in terms of infamy or popularity? Because if you're talking the latter, I think there are good arguments to be made for Bogart & Bacall or Spencer & Tracy…much classier Hollywood couples, and as far as I can tell, more beloved by the public.

Am I the only one who can't help but think of that band from "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" every time this guy's name comes up?

I love when spontaneous stuff like that happens. This is the best A.V. Club interview unplanned cameo since Chris Cooper shouted a question to his wife in another room, and her answer became part of the interview text.

Wow, surprised at the lack of hate here. I expect more bile for an episode that commits the worst character assassination in "Batman: The Animated Series" and taints the beautiful masterpiece that is "Heart of Ice". It wasn't until "Meltdown" on "Batman Beyond" that the people behind this travesty did their penance…

"Flesh and the Devil" is a really artfully directed and absorbing silent movie, but the ending is a bit of a let down to me. It's obvious where things should be going, but the standards of the time prevent the natural conclusion from playing out.

I saw the Garbo version recently, having become a Garbo fan in recent months. As a result, I don't ever want to see another version. Maybe if she'd been awful in it (probably not, even then), but I thought she did just fine. I can't muster interest in seeing someone else play a role I saw her play well first. Someone…

When he was brokenheartedly cradling the dead prisoner and asking her why she killed herself, I couldn't help but let out a sympathetic "Oh, Mandy!". That's how moved I was by his acting. I never thought I'd say those words for any other reason besides referencing the Barry Manilow song.
