@avclub-41e23e24ee2670c4128cd7e5e5ee42ab:disqus the first time I re-watched the whole series, it was impossible not to look at it just like like you said. My opinions of both Vic and Shane had just about 180'd.

The classic tale of conformity!
We also had these old hardcovers called "The Sesame Street Library". They were full of all kinds of great stories, many based on sketches from the show . For our money growing up, nothing (besides "The Monster…") topped they way my Dad would read "The Boy, the Girl, and the Jellybeans"
YOU MADE ANOTHER COMMENT!!!
I get so excited about that very thing, it makes me wish there was an updated Dogme 95 but for practical effects.
Leonard Part 6 ?
god help me, Braveheart.
I liggiddy liggidy love that tape!
@avclub-6beb5f589a9fd04c21fcd50db3d9c80c:disqus you're fighting the good fight, but this tune always bugged me for cynical reasons
because there'll beeee
no more warming it up…
here in heaven
I think it's perfectly acceptable to hate on a father's decision to exploit the death of a kid in order to cynically pave his way to a grammy, not to mention the soulless execution
Well me and at least 22 others agree, and Tillmann hit the nail on the head regarding how he performs it like he doesn't care. Also, should my toddler ever die, and I need to pour my heart into my art, I won't hire a fucking hit-maker co-writer to help me win a Teardrop Award.
"HUNGRY HUNGRY HIPPOS!!!'
I still have a good time just playing with turntable speed/pitch settings when putting on a Tristeza LP, but I agree this is just a curious internet fad that stops after the "whoah" factor.
piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick
Well I'd feel better if it brought attention to great ambient artists. It's not like tweens are rushing out on record store day for Eluvium, and my niece's iPod is still devoid of Stars of the Lid
@avclub-ecbdad96460f85751944de9d6c2d50fe:disqus but now I'm giggling at the thought of riding a Segway while drinking a bottle of Paul Masson champagne
SPOILERS ? (regarding the pacing of action and story beats in a season)?
No show is going to fill the void The Shield leaves behind, but Amirite is rite, it begins an episodic serial with the best of Shakespearean-hick since Deadwood (easy comparison). Seasons 2 & 3 are a highly enjoyable ride.
watching Dutch is painful sometimes! I love that guy. The guy's lecture was the icing, but Lannie busting him was the cherry on top of a shame cake.
