Animal House
This article jogged my memory of how I always had to leave the room during Animal House when Bluto was peeping through the window on the ladder. Even if it the movie was on TV. Of course, that means we watched Animal House fairly often, and I'm so glad we did.

I guess it's a given that he introduced me to those two movies. And It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. For someone that doesn't ever even watch movies, he had pretty good taste within the few he liked.

My dad's favorite two movies are Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles.

Dylan Dog
What's the consensus on this guy? Cool stories/art? Yeah, I know the review was good, but someone else chip in for the hell of it.

"Post Office" by Charles Bukowski
Is my nomination, simply because it' s my favorite book. Funny as hell, sorta loose, free and easy to read. Bukowski's first novel and best. You can sorta relate to him in this book, being a guy who's just winging his way through various jobs at the post office and a few women in his

I've only read Cat's Cradle, but I would agree with anyone who says to start there. I liked it.

That's the plan!

I read the two follow-up books that were written a few years ago by Mark Winegardner, The Godfather Returns and The Godfather's Revenge, and they don't clear up anything. They don't touch too much on Hymen Roth and all that, but there's a lot of added stuff that can either add to the mythos or detract from it,

I had the Blackhand edition for the Wii. I didn't play it very much, mostly because I felt like a tool trying to punch and strangle and stuff with the controls. And, the whole freakin' city looked the same to me in the game, so I was always getting lost and stuff.

A little late, but agreed, Shel Silverstein kicked ass being bald and bearded. Check out the Playboy book that had all those travel cartoons that he did for the mag in the 60's - plenty pics of Shel hangin' out all over the world made it in there, too.

23.
Look 30.
Receding hairline, but a good beard (not unlike my avatar).

Holy shit, you guys did not let me down. I saw Clonus on MST3k more times (probably) than any of the other eps in the Sci-Fi era, and I didn't remember some of those.

Richard Stark
I just finished up reading all of richard Stark's Parker novels a few weeks ago, and then promptly bought nearly all of them (1st edition paperbacks, to boot) in a lot on eBay for $62.

Surfink is pretty cool. What was the name of the skateboarding one, though. Always wanted that one.

Yeah, WTF? A perfect opportunity for MST3K quotes and such is being wasted right now.

True Grit?
I didn't see that one coming. Have they, uh, remade a movie before?

We didn't have AP classes at my high school. I didn't even know what the hell all "city" kids were talking about at college for a week or two.

That WAS a good Simpsons quote. Well done.

I like it, Fats.
