But you called it a misfire. It's the same tone and takes on the same kid of things as his previous and following works. It's not a misfire. You just don't agree for whatever reason.

That's because for Q Who and BOBW the borg didn't care about people. They destroyed cultures and took only the tech. Q called them the ultimate user. Every time people got on a Borg ship they were ignored. Picard was assimilated, but it took hours and several steps (he's not as converted in BOBW 1 as he is in 2). In

Just because you don't agree with him doesn't make him wrong.

I'm sorry I don't post brilliant stuff like "Second best Trek Movie ever *wink smiley face". I'll try harder to be what you want me to be in the future.

You know what? My position when confronted with a really stupid and childish argument like "well, what do you like then?" is to call it for the personal attack that it is and ignore from there, but right now I just want to prove you wrong. Last week alone I posted two comments - one defending Chain of Command, and one

In the context of the film, which goes against several hours of precedent. If you can't work within the confines of a character then don't use that character. Come up with a new threat.

And is that different from what I predicted last week? You want to get into it with me on a personal level instead of based on my critique of the film. I got your number, buddy. Accept it.

Even without his prosthesis removed Hugh was able to be disconnected. The crewman was not dead. And he has no remorse about it. There's no thought about it. That's psycho. Lilly thinks its psycho. The movie its trying to make the point that it's psycho. That's not the issue, and its odd that you're arguing about it.

Looks like my summation of you in the last episode's comments was accurate.

Same answer back at you. If you don't like what I have to say don't read it. Otherwise it's just an ad hominem.

Do you ever like a Star Trek episode, Eponymous?

Really? Shooting his own crew? Screaming NOOOOOO!!!! while shooting up the Borg? Smashing stuff in his ready room? Screaming some more? He's a psycho child in this. This is Ron Moore, we're talking about, of course. The same guy who wrote one too many snot dripping  Adama break downs. But at least in BSG there is

You're making a lot of false dilemma arguments here. Either Picard is unaffected or Picard is a psycho. He could never show his trauma in a way that befits the character. Either the Borg are a bad movie villian or we change them. Never a thought that there didn't need to be a Borg movie. You know, if you can't do

I had hoped I'd edited that before you read it. I guess I'm not as fast as the movie. B+ is still way too high. The only thing positive I can think of for it being fast paced is that the garbage plot and dialog go by faster. But the movie is so long it's basically cramming more garbage into every minute rather than

The problem is, the Doctor makes more strides towards being human in the first few episodes than Data did in 7 years. And Data had the capacity and the interest. The Doctor doesn't even care.

I'll never get the pass this movie gets. That review was 80% negative and yet the score is B+? Basically the only positives were it's fast paced and it's not Generations. Great. Picard doesn't appear in this film. Nothing he does is anything like the character we know - like screaming while firing a gun, or shooting

Lost is the king of dropped plots. Don't forget that Aron was special too. Also remember that thing about babies not being born on the island. Dumped even though they spent 2 seasons on it. Lost was crap.

I think you're comparing Data to Dexter and its not really the same. Data isn't trying to fool anyone. And he's not pretending to be human. He's trying to attain humanity. In other words, he's trying to improve himself with full realization of his limitations. That sounds psychologically healthy to me.

I think where the article makes it's point is where Lucas states the originals should be preserved and that cultural heritage is important. By Lucas not allowing the original films to be seen he is ruining both.

HERE! Not there, or there, or behind that, but here. No farther. Right HERE!
