Batman Year One is SO GOOD.  I love Dark Knight Returns too, but everybody knows that's good.  Year One was a real surprise.

The big difference is that instead of making his ward dress up in tights and fight crime with him, he made him get plastic surgery to look like Liberace.

When I was reading about the upcoming episode with the doppelgangers these last couple of months or so, they kept saying they weren't revealing the casting of Tom's doppelganger because of the "concept behind it" or something like that.  That was a nice payoff to that little mystery.

God, Duke Silver is such a brilliant running gag.  They haven't shown it in way too long.  I'd almost forgotten about it, somehow.  I hope we see him again this season.

Yeah, that was my take on it too.  The last I knew they were having a kid together, like platonic friends do all the time in sitcoms and romantic comedies and never in any other context, and now they're a couple and leaving town together?  Just write them getting back together as a couple if they're getting back…
