Yeah, it was mostly redundant and stupid, but I have to say, Katniss's breakdown when she learns she'll have to go back into the arena is gut-wrenching. 

I dunno, keeping the entire plot of the second book a secret from the protagonist and the reader for almost the entire book was a pretty lousy move too.

Yeah, the guy's largely responsible for the only movie in the series that's not deeply flawed.  I'm definitely curious to see what he'll do this time around.

I like that band a lot.  My dad was/is a fan, so I got a lot of exposure to them. They had a big old string of pretty killer songs - "Share the Land," "Undun,"  "Laughing," "No Time," "These Eyes" - all damn good songs, if a little goofy in some cases.  Plus Burton Cummings has one of the great voices in rock n roll.

I read a very good internet post a few years ago demonstrating that the Jedi were literally the villains of the prequel trilogy in every sense except which side we're supposed to be rooting for.

My guess is that they'll be more entertaining and skillfully made, but will pay far, far less attention to continuity, so people will have a whole different set of things to be mad about.

When I first heard there would be more Star Wars movies, I thought it was going to be fun and exciting, like that movie - Spaceballs!  But instead it's been painful and disturbing like that movie Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.

Let's talk about Jim Thompson novels.  I haven’t gotten around to this one, or the movie, but I’ve read a ton of them.  Savage Night might be the best crime novel of all time.  A Hell of a Woman is also up there.  The man could do endings, that's for sure.  The Getaway, another killer ending.  The beginnings and
